Interest check-TOCA2

Maybe a few of you can remember back about 6-7 years ago (help me out, Paddy) when the forum had an incredibly active TOCA 2 championship. Thos who can remember will recall intense competition and some really tight racing.

Let's do it again :D

If you have any interest in participating let it be known here. PS1-PS2 or PC no matter-all formats welcome.

I imagine we would do rounds in the two race format with a sprint and main event at each venue.

As I know some cars to be faster than others perhaps we could do car assignment by lottery-let me know your thoughts...

I was playing CMR2 on my PS3 the other day so assume most should be okay. Sadly I couldn't find my copy of TOCA2 :(

and you have a lot better execution than I in runnung championships.

Lets see how much interest there is. 4 is a fairly small field..

I'd be down for it too. I ran the championship here (with the help of 306 Cosworth) around 2005 IIRC. There was a lot of competitive races during the season and usually a field of 12 cars at every round. But, we need to remember, that since then, the interest in most of our racing series' has declined rapidly. I was actively involved with the sim community here during its high point of 2004-2007 (estimated years). We had up to 5 or 6 championships running at one time, all with healthy grids of drivers. I suppose the closing down of our old beloved forum didn't help us at all, but the writing was on the wall even before then unfortunately.

It might be even worth PM'ing some of our previous series competitors to make them aware that we are interested in getting a league running again. Many of our previous simulation forum regulars don't visit the section any more.

You do know that they are on about TOCA2 and not TOCA Race Driver 2, don't you? Just saying like, because TOCA3 would have been TOCA WTC, before the series went to PS2 and became Race Driver etc.
