I'd like to show it as I have no idea how I did it! I saved the replay, so how do I convert it into a video I can upload into Youtube? Do I use Fraps?

I got it working by the way - menu pics match the cars inside now.

Just out of interest, what is everyone's times on the Rally School stage? Until yesterday I couldn't beat 1:14, then I played today and suddenly I got a 1:09.11! This is with a Focus 2006. I have no idea what happened but if my memory serves me right, under 1:10 is very fast. Very surprising as all my other times seem annoyingly slow...

Looks as if you have your controller issues in check. 1:09 is quite fast :up:

pettersolberg29
16th August 2010, 12:03
I think the controller has been tuned well! I started a new profile for times with the tarmac mod just for fun, and my controller settings were reset and it was shambolic. In my proper profile everything is A-OK now.

Yeap! Record It via fraps, and upload It (the mpeg file) on youtube! ;)

pettersolberg29
16th August 2010, 18:26
Do I have to pay for fraps? I tried saving my replay, but it only saves 30s of it?

pettersolberg29
17th August 2010, 16:17
Here we go LCD - as I could only save 30s of it, I used Windows Moviemaker to stitch together the 3 parts. Also, I have since beaten my PB and recorded that replay as the first replay didn't work.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6SRLFZptpg

edit: I know I cut a corner near the end but it didn't really affect my time as it made me jump in the air and I had to try and keep the car on line so might have even lost a bit of time.

Not sure where to post this but here goes.

Just wondering if someone could make a really simple skin for me after the news of Mikkelsen signing for Skoda in 2011. I'd like just a plain white Fabia S2000 with Mikkelsen in the window if that's possible - to use in the RBR IRC if there is one, or just for recce purposes. If anyone can be bothered then it would be much appreciated.

I've tracked down the template for the Fabia if you want to have a go:

Just a quick question to everyone in RBR-land who has used the new generation WRC cars i.e. Fiesta and DS3. Have you found they are as fast as the old WRC cars, slower than the old WRC cars or faster? Just wondering if my pace has changed in the new generation cars.

p.s. welcome LCD to your new role as Moderator :)

Can't say faster, but definitely, not slower at all. ;)

pettersolberg29
28th February 2011, 15:05
My stage times are falling by large distances though with the Fiesta/DS3. Up to 10s quicker on stages like Noiker and East-West. I think this is more to do with clean and consistent driving as opposed to raw speed though - with the C4 I would get a great time...then crash. Now I'm getting solid times every time.

Agreed. Saw what hapenned at the Swedish rally, a couple of weeks ago? 5 drivers within a minute!
Haven't seen such a tight competition for ages...

Right ive just reinstalled RBR which im going to be playing using an xbox 360 controller as I dont have the space or money for a wheel.

The only problem is im being a tit (I know!) and cant set up the buttons so the acceleration is on the triggers and the steering is on the left joy stick, all I get is buttons and axis conflicting. Soo can anyone help? :D :D

edit: right ive got the steering on the sticks now, but the throttle and brakes are still on the buttons and the throttle is very unresponsive. On the other hand the brakes come on and off by themselves while driving along!

It's hard to imagine that RBR is almost 7 year old if you look how good it looks with HDR filter. If someone could code in tyre deformation, slightly up the poly count of the stages and scenery, gravel particle simulation (small bits flying from tires) one might believe that it is real.

Edit: Though the particle simulation would be very very CPU and GPU intensive.

My user used to be 'dtaker' on BHMS until they got closed.. I was chiefly making and contributing setups. I stopped RBR since over a year ago.

But when I came to NZ, I suddenly found myself in a vast gravel expanse! I fired my RBR again but this time to practice rallying for real. I got my rally beater (practice car) setup in the Abarth Punto for gravel and tarmac. Looks the same, same color and best of all, drives like the real thing quite a handful really as my practice car, a lot worse than the WRC cars in the sim.

Not surprisingly, I am doing exactly the same mistakes I'm doing in the sim in the real life. But I had to complain to Warthog, because when I hit a gravel bank in real life when I lost control of the drift, the bumper of my car didn't come off, only got a tiny scratch! :D

The Fiesta is a great car on RBR - set many PBs in it. Much easier to control even if its worse on the slow corners.

I've been on RBR again since some time and I had a bloody difficult time getting along with the DS3 WRC. Me being a Citroenish man I was very frustrated so I went with the Fiesta. It drives very nicely however I've been trying the DS3 again and I have to say Im beginning to get my hands on it and it feels so better after you begin to master it.

And both the S2000 and WRC version of the Mini as been launched by Garyson and as always, excellent work.

The WRC version is here if you want to download it Rbrplus (http://rbrplus.blog.cz/) .

Anyone tried the new pacenote plugin mentioned at RBR+ (http://www.rbrplus.blogspot.com) ? I tried it a bit this morning and it's very good. It lets you alter the notes on the fly so you can do a recce of the stage like in real life and correct them as you go.

Ok had more time with the pacenote plugin. Such a pity it doesn't work with BTB stages yet as that's where it's really going to come in. Anyway, what a brilliant tool! I've just been playing with the rally school stage and the amount of depth you can go into is incredible. There are over 200 individual calls it can do (with a different, much clearer voice in English) so you can do into massive details like Petter Solberg or keep it simple, just more refined to your style or car.

Just some examples of what I've got it to say now (I use gears for corners as my method, i.e. numeric system like CMR):

"4 left into 4 right plus - over bridge, caution water into flat left and 3 right tightens."

"Over crest into 5 right maybe, 100 3 left narrows"

"Square right, don't cut, rock"

"4 right, twisty, double caution water into 3 left"

"4 right cut into 3 left cut, caution water into 3 right"

That is just the basics so far, way more to come. You guys seriously have to check this plugin out.

Bruce D
13th April 2012, 12:12
It's absolutely brilliant to use. You can go into as much or as little detail as you like. I love it but it does take a long time to work through the notes, especially if you're starting from scratch like the BTB stage I have above. I think the first 2km of that stage took me over 8min to complete! The best part is you can share the notes just by sharing the .ini file it makes. BTW, little tip when you save the BTB file, make sure to add in the .ini part at the end of your name otherwise you can't open it again, the program doesn't do that automatically.

Been driving RSRBR2012 lately and really love driving the Audi S1. Sadly I never can make to an end of a stage, as it dies out after 5-6 kilometres. I seems to be the head gasket that gives up, but this happens even though I have turned of the damage. I have also activated the bug fix of the head gasket. Has anyone else had the same problem? If so, can it be fixed?

NeverKnow
7th May 2012, 13:26
I've experienced the same problem with the S1 in RSRBR11.I haven't driven it in RSRBR12 but unfortunately it will be a few weeks until I get back home and can verify if I also have this bug with the car. From what I remember that it was near impossible to finish flatout stages like Pikes Peak and Hualapai Nation if I don't feather the throttle and go easy on the revs. It was way too easy to destroy the headgasket with only few km's of SS.

I found a recent thread (http://forum.rallyesim.fr/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=11675) about it at rallyesim and after reading frenglish I concluded they are suggesting not to use revs so much, no left-foot braking and change gears early. If the problem persists I suggest you post at rallyesim about it and hopefully they can find a way to fix it.

My brother would like to know if his I5 laptop with onboard graphics would be powerfull enough to run RSRBR at 720p on his HD ready TV ok, I dont think it will but not 100% sure as its not really a very demanding game, anyone have any idea?

I'd also be interested to hear just how quick you fellow forum members are with the RSRBR version of the game, ie; what is your best time through Chirdonhead?

I've obviously got a lot of practicing to do to get close to the top guys online as my time is a relatively mediocre 3m 13s in the Focus 07 RC (RSRBR08 default set-up), 7 seconds shy of the top time and would place me around 15th fastest of all the recorded online times for Chirdonhead.

RBR itself isn't very demanding in terms of performance but the newer stages in RSRBR can be. It's hard to tell from here if your brothers laptop can run RBR at 720p without actually knowing what onboard graphics card it has. If it has the Intels HD series or even better graphics card then it should be able to run it but there is only one way to find out for sure and that is to install RBR as see if the laptop can handle it.

As for Chirdonheads times, mine is around 3:20. Sometimes faster, sometimes slower.

And by the way best stage times from RSRBR12 is available here: Online Records (http://xii.rallyesim.com/results_best_times.asp)

Yeah, 3:20 is around my norm not taking risks ie, rally mode. My 3:13 is maximum attack, big risks and a lot of luck. It is soul destroying when you watch the videos of the guys acheiving these top times and seeing how reigned in and controlled their drive was.
Up there beside Pirka Menoko, Chirdonhead is one of my favourite.. once I install RSRBR12, get a proper solid base for my Fanatec GT2 wheel/CSP pedals and make myself up a proper handbrake Im gonna persevere until I can at least get to within a second of that time. Wish me luck.. Im gonna need it. ;)

Can anyone tell me if this is the standard engine/transmission sounds for the C4 in RSRBR12 or a plug-in? It sounds fantastic, much more realistic and adds massively to the sensation of speed, very impressive!

In RSRBR12 the C4 sounds a little different (less transmission noise) but this could be because he used RSRBR11 or the way the sound was recorded or like you said yourself maybe he used a plugin. By the way Chepilevski is one of the fastest drivers in online championship at rallyesim and he can do miracles with car setups.

Thanks for the compliment Bruce but I'm not that fast you make me out to me. I'm only average compared to guys out there.

Yes, I can see what you mean... that C4 looks to be working very well and he looks quick. Stumbled across this video, Robert Kubica playing the italian mod RBR-World last year. Apparently he was unofficial online champion last year, races online under the name 'Kopecky-FAN' and is reckoned to be unbeatable.

Imagine being able to go online and compete/be able to compare times with Kubica... For me there is something quite magical about that! :)

After completing my I5 build and installing a Win 7 64 bit OS Im having a problem with my RSRBR12 installation. The GpB cars load fine but car skins for other groups such as the new WRC cars dont seem to be loading. ie' The Polo WRC will load up as an Impreza etc.

Running it on Win 7 I had to change some DEP? settings in the RSRBR game files which I did... except for the 7 Zip.exe which said something like 'you cant alter 7zip 64 bit executables' . I suspect this may be the root of the problem and Im not sure how to get round it. (Its strange that the GrpB cars load fine though)

or... should I have installed the full car pack after each of the 5 RSRBR updates rather than just after the fifth update?

A recap-

I installed RBR (clean) in the correct location.
Patched with both 1.01 and 1.02 patches
Installed RSRBR to the same folder.
Updated with the 5 updates then installed the full carpack
Installed the full track pack
Changed the DEP settings other than the 7zipexe which wouldn't allow me due to it being 64bit for some reason.

The RS centre loads fine and starts the game as it should its just the skins for some of the car packs that aren't loading.

Any help would be very much apreciated.

I'm using 64-bit Windows 7 and so far RSRBR has worked more or less alright. Had a little problem with setup checking utility but few system settings changes made it work. Here is Aarons post that helped me. (http://cmsracing.com/champion/forums/press-rallysport-cms-rally-team-68/controlesetups-utility-17995/index2.html#post127979)
I don't know if you already know this but one thing with Windows 7 is that you don't install RBR in the "program files" otherwise it might have limited access to the system and might not work correctly. I simply installed it in "c: \Richard Burns Rally". RSRBR already contains patches 1.01 and 1.02 so after clean install you don't need to install them before installing RSRBR.

Sorry that I can't be more of a help. If you still can't figure out what might be wrong maybe you should ask the guys at rallyesim if you haven't already. They might point you to the right direction.

Edit: Installation order should be: RBR; RSRBR; all the updates; track, car packs and any BTB stage pack you like.

Thanks, I spent ages re-installing all the sound files only to learn that it is something to do with the TV/Monitor I was using, (maybe HDMI ?). It would play windows sounds but no in game sounds at all. I hooked it up to my big HDTV and the ingame sounds play fine.

I then had a problem with the wheels brake and throttle paramaters in the control panel but I downloaded DXtweak and re-calibrated all the x-y paramater values and managed to fix it completely... that brilliant little program really saved the day!

I have it playing perfectly now... what a fantastic, amazing sim! I'm a little rusty, about 10-15 secs off my old pace (RSRBR08) and keep crashing... but it will come back to me with more practice. :)

My brother has just bought a seat/rig that he tells me was made by the prodrive mechs and has Solbergs actual WRC seat from his Impreza... I suspect its just a Solberg branded playseat but he seems convinced otherwise, I guess I'll find out at the weekend. ;)

Thanks again.

There are some really good stages here Stages | Bobs Track Builder Sweden (http://www.btbswe.n.nu/strackor) for the BTB plugin which comes with the downloads I think so you can use them. I love their work on this site, some really interesting stages. Otherwise keep an eye on RBR+ (http://www.rbrplus.blogspot.com/) as they let you know about all sorts of RBR stages. Some great ones about, you just need to find them.

I have created a excel spreadsheet which predicts stage times of cars based on your stage and split times of a stage, which allows you to have a rally against "AI" as such. I'm thinking of developing it into a public release which takes into account WRC competitors from different years. It even calculates if someone loses time or DNFs in a stage. The problem comes in totaling the times up, I personally use a rally scoring program but that may be a bit complex for some. How it works is to take your average speed through a stage and each sector into account (so if you lose time on a section it'll pick it up and factor that into calculating the AI's time) and then give you a base time and each driver has a rating based on that time. Can create some very close events.

Hello!
I would invite you to our project on Czech RBR plugin. Project is called RBR Planet and we try to get this game closer to reality. We have a financial system, so you can buy or rent rally car or sell it too. You pay for many things. There are for example start fees, you pay for tires, fuel etc.
There are many championships too - ERC, Czech Rally Championship, Estonian, Finnish and many more. So we need more drivers from foreign countries. We need you! :)
Lot of important information there are on our web >>> RBR Planet 2013 (http://rbr-planet.7u.cz/) (in section General rules)
We have Facebook page too >>> http://www.facebook.com/pages/RBR-Planet/106657692748194

If you are using RSRBR then the only thing you have to do is to launch original RBR from Start Menu of Windows. Then load up your profile, make any changes you want to make and save the profile and exit the game.

The other option is to launch RSRBR, from the splash screen pick "Play Alone", then "Launch RichardBurnsRallySSE" or "Launch RBRdll" (don't know if they are called exactly liked that, I'm away from my gaming computer). Then load up your profile, make changes you want to make and save your profile, exit the game.

Next time you start RSRBR or RBR settings should be changed.

A little tip. If you can, download the need files through a torrent client, as you often will encounter corrupted files by doing it otherwise.

Did you get any help with your problem, Astro?

Astro83
19th December 2012, 10:18
Sorry Bennizw... :) Yes, I got some help on Rallyesim forum! Now I can drive all of the new beautiful stages!!! So awesome!! ;)

One more question. I have allways been thinking that the original tarmac setups sucks.. Anyone who have GOOD setups for tarmac, and good gravel and tarmac setup for Mini WRC?
Mini RRC is good but Mini WRC sucks..

I think most of the cars on tarmac miss the real grip that they would have in real. The suspension is often to hard and do not swallow and bumps and **** on the road in tarmac settings...

Do anyone have setups for me? ;)

bennizw
19th December 2012, 11:05
I am having a hard time finding an optimal tarmac setup myself, so I can't help you. However, I think that most of the secret lies within the "Dampers" menu.

Bruce D
19th December 2012, 18:04
I remember once reading an article by the guy that did the physics for the game saying he never got the tarmac physics right and that he was going to be developing a game where he'd fix that. I was actually very interested in his future game proposal but it never came to be. Can't even remember what it was called now.

Didn't that guy end up working for Simbin or something in the end? A potential rally simulator for us could be gRally, which is under work now. gRALLY - All Terrain Simulator by RBR-Online.it team (http://www.grally.net). I think it's going to focus on cars from the 70's.

I LOVE the new Czech stages. They are very well-made. And it is nice to drive a few completely new stages, so you need to listen to the notes.

Not sure if he did. He was creating his own standalone game at one point which focused on developing the cars as well as driving them. Might have gone to Simbin.

gRally is taking a long time to get going, not sure what the progress is.

Okey bennizw! Yea, the tarmac setup is mostly really poor sadly but the new Mini RRC is one ofmy absolutly favorit on tarmac, can push really hard with that one.. Many other cars is so bumpy and has no grip in high speed when breaking..

Is someone know if the new Fabia S2000 2012 and Legacy version 3.0 will be avalible on RSRBR soon? I really hope so! :)

RSRBR 2013 is lovely, love the new stages, really good work Rallyesim!

I cant se replays, is that a bug, or can someone tell me how its done? If I save the replay, I cant open them in my Windows 7???

bennizw
20th December 2012, 17:02
Some guys have been working on socalled realistic physics for RBR the last year. The last days they have been releasing physics for the Ford Fiesta WRC and the Skoda Fabia S2000. I think the physics only are compatible with the Czech plugin, or original version of the game. Has anyone tested it?

Anyone who knows how to switch car sound on Mini RRC, and Fiesta WRC 2012?? It dont work to only switch Fiestawrc.eng with the new and same to Mini_cooper_c1.eng with the new... Someone who have the answear???

And if a put on the lights on the car, it dosent work like it did before.. Its really strange...

Do you use Soundsmanager? There you can specify everything.

Astro83

No just change files in sound map. I will look in to that! Thanks

Astro83
20th December 2012, 22:48
With that program the sound issue was a quick fix! ;) thanks bennizw!

Reguarding new physics for Fiesta WRC and Skoda Fabia S2000 that is "new", it feels like the Fiesta WRC -12 has the new physics. I think that -12 version (aw12) of Fiesta is more nice and realistic then the 2011 Fiesta version in RSRBR???

Can that be the new physic program that RBR+ is linking to??

bennizw
20th December 2012, 23:16
No, it's something that has been built up from the bottom, and isn't a part of any of the plugins so far. I think it's a couple of Czechs working on it. Maybe we'll see it in a plugin in the future.

Astro83
21st December 2012, 09:51
Ah okey!

Bennizw, can you look at replays in RSRBR 2013?? If you can, how do you make it work?? I want to take pics from the stages and more like I did in RSRBR 2012...

The replay mode in 2013 is changed... It's not like in 2012..

Ahh, tested RBR today on a real car-simulator. I gotta say, the steering is bloody difficult but that may be because of the stearing wheel being a little broken (it drove where ever it wanted sometimes) I'm not gonna say that it could be easy without it either.

Ahh, tested RBR today on a real car-simulator. I gotta say, the steering is bloody difficult but that may be because of the stearing wheel being a little broken (it drove where ever it wanted sometimes) I'm not gonna say that it could be easy without it either.

In 'Input'- 'steering'.. Ensure there is no deadzone and that all parameters are linear and rise and fall rates are 'instant' and also that the steering input does not decrease with speed ie; a flat horizontal line on the graph at either 100% for large degrees of wheel rotation or lower 70%? flat horizontal line for lower degrees of rotation to reduce steering sensitivity I also prefer that parameters are linear (straight line) and obviously 'instant' in the brake and throttle settings. See- the pic on here- http://www.motorsportforums.com/simulations/136167-rbr-g25-logitech.html

Input lag is a real killer with RBR using my 42" HDTV- 34ms of input latency (and thats in game mode with all processing switched off!) it makes it extremely difficult, nigh on impossible. On the other hand my gaming monitor (<5ms input latency) makes a huge difference to the feeling of being in full control.... I can then drive reactively instead of having to know each stage like the back of my hand to be able to drive it proactively.
Higher Frame rates also reduces input latency, so a fast modern GPU will help a lot. See- https://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=18445

There is also a fix to reduce steering input lag in the game config files as described by Neverknow:

You can start by changing few values in PC_InputFilter.ini in the root directory of RBR. This is from BHmotorsports forum and it worked on my previous wheel. Replace original values with this:

[STEER::BUTTON_DIGITAL]
Active = false
RiseRate = 3.0
FallRate = 5.0
maxSpeedFade = 0.5
MaxSpeedFadeSpeed = 27.0

[STEER::STICK]
Active = false
Parabolic = true
maxSpeedFade = 0.5
MaxSpeedFadeSpeed = 27.0

[STEER::AXIS]
Active = true
Parabolic = false
maxSpeedFade = 0.1
MaxSpeedFadeSpeed = 100.0

If that doesn't help then you can try and rename PC_InputFilter.ini to PC_InputFilter.bak. That way RBR won't use the ini file.

If this still doesn't solve the problem try these steps:
torttu.com (http://torttu.com/temp/rbr/ffb.txt)

Does anyone know if RBR uses Open GL? If it doesn't use it theoretically latency can be further improved if you have a means of reducing "maximum pre-rendered frames" to zero directly in the control panel. The default is 3 but most of NVIDIA's latest drivers allow editing.

Without doubt, Astro! It would be fun to have a small forum competition on this stage. What are your best times so far?

Thanks for the links bennizw! I just tried it and had a huge blast driving this stage. On my first run through the stage I managed 17:10,43 with many mistakes and few slight offs in the Fiesta RRC. On my second run I did 16:36,72 in S14 Subaru with plenty of room to improve. One huge plus with this stage is the pacenotes are more or less accurate which gives you confidence to push through the corners. Will try the reverse stage now.

Edit: Pacenotes appear to be missing on the reverse version. Is anyone else experiencing this or is the problem with my computer?

bennizw

Reverse stages pacenotes can be found here. (http://forum.rallyesim.fr/viewtopic.php?p=452056&f=340#p452056) I tried them out and they are good. Though I haven't finished the reverse version yet because I'm overdriving the car and crashing a lot.

I will get my stage time up soon! Iv only make 2 test-runs. The stage is really amazing as I said before but I can not say that the pacenotes is great, its pretty ok but in some places when I listnen to them I easily go off the road and in some places the pacenotes is far to slow.
Problem to find a good rythem! :)
But first test run was 17:03:20... (Fiesta WRC)
I will drive a full-speed run and we will se if I finish with this pacenotes! :P

But thanks to the creator!!! Really really good work! Really autentic/realistic stage!

I have now driven the stage one time on full speed in a Fiesta S2000 and it went well! the time was 16.02.28. The pacenotes is at most ok but it needs som fixes I think! But the stage is as I said before more then beautiful and it's also tricky! It needs to get clean lines over crests and more to be quick! I like!!

16.02.28 was my time. I will get it better I hope! :P

Man i feel so slow. My first run was a 19.46.33 in a 207 S2000. Those last 10kms or so are very tricky, many offs. Would it be alright if people could post some splits as well? Also am i the only one here still using a keyboard?

Astro83
19th April 2013, 07:48
I play with an custom made G27 with a "real" wheel... And sec.gearbox.

I agree, the stage is top 3 of all rbr stages when it comes to the built of stage and enviroment! Love this stage and all real details, but this stage because of the real feeling is very tricky! It needs a good "line" all the time and the last 10k after the hairpin on the open fields is realy realy tricky, its very tight, very slippery and tricky jumps/crests!! But it's so fun!!

NeverKnow
19th April 2013, 14:09
My best run so far is still my second run through the stage, splits for it are: 05:34.36 - 10:47.05 - 16:36.72. I thought I could go faster then that but apparently I can't. On few runs I managed to shave off few seconds on the splits but later into stage I crash when a corner is a lot tighter than I expected and I slide slowly and steadily into the undergrowth. It is still a very nice stage which requires of the driver to concentrated all the time. Any mistake or being off the racing line can and will cause a huge crash. One thing that helped me on this stage and it's reverse version is to set pacenotes call out earlier than usual, helped me to slow down in time for the very slow corners.

:eek: I tried playing RBR with a keyboard once, absolutely horrendous. In fact, even with a steering wheel without force feedback, it's useless. The game does come alive with a good wheel with good force feedback. Get a wheel. Even a cheap Driving Force GT will do the job quite nicely.

Does the wheel work outside the game or do you only have problem with RBR? Also make sure you have AC adapter plugged in, otherwise FFB doesn't work.

AC adapter is the power cord. One thing that my Driving Force GT does when I connect the power cord (and it is already connected to computer via USB) is that it goes from lock to lock and back to center automatically using FFB. But if it is already close to its center of axis it doesn't do that. Also if you have power on the wheel and you try to turn it you should plenty of resistance (and once you let the wheel go it will return to center), if it isn't powered then it is very easy to turn the wheel and it will not auto-center.

OK, go to control panel of windows and under "devices and printers" you should have "driving force GT" under there when you have it connected. Right click on "driving force GT" and select "game control settings". A new window should open called "game controllers". There select driving force GT and click on properties and another windows should open. There you can see the inputs for the wheel. Go through all the buttons on your wheel and all the wheels axis are reported correctly (press and depress brake and throttle pedal, turn the wheel from lock to lock).

If they are all reported correctly then the problems are with RBR if not then the problems are with the drivers for the wheels which didn't install correctly or the other option is that the wheel itself could be defective.

In the years I've used RBR I haven't had problems with RBR not reporting the wheels correctly. Before starting RBR I always check under control panel that all the axis are reported correctly and then I launch RBR. If the controllers is shown under "game controllers" then they are "seen" by RBR and they should work.

If the drivers are at fault, then uninstall all the drivers, restart the computer and reinstall the drivers (remember to plug in the wheel to your computer only when the installation program asks for this). You might want to disable your anti-virus during the installation process because sometimes they can interfere with the installation process.

I tried to explain all this the best I can but I don't know if it is all understandable. If you have any question then ask.

Hi, I'm new to RSRBR, can someone tell me how to get phil mills as co-driver???

I don't have much knowledge and I'm still learning, also i have logitech g27 and don't know if I've set up the wheel right in the game it will only turn a half turn to the right and half a turn to the left is that right? Can anyone help please ?

Use this utility to change your co-driver:
http://forum.rallyesim.fr/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=578

180 degrees of rotation is usually default for steering wheels. Before starting RSRBR or RBR make sure you have set your desired steering wheel rotation (say 540 degrees or 720 degrees) in the Logitech utility or in the Control Panel, then start RSRBR or RBR.

For example. I have Driving Force GT steering wheel and I use 540 degrees rotation for driving games. But every time I plug it in to my computer I have to go to Control Panel and to its settings page. After that the wheel has 540 degrees of rotation, otherwise it would stay in default 360 degrees of rotation. Few times I have forgot to this step and ended up driving a car which had 540 degrees of rotation set in the setup but I only had 360 degrees of rotation on my steering wheel which meant the car was very twitchy.

If you have specific question regarding setting up the steering wheel to RSRBR, don't hesitate to ask.

I haven't tried any of these stages yet but came across this website now and these look amazing. For the BTB plugin...

They look nice indeed. Will give them a go at the weekend. Thanks Bruce!

Well I tried that Mexico stage on my link above and I must say it is a game changer in terms of what can be done with BTB. As great as anything from WRC4 if you ask me.

Check this out... A run in the BMW E30 Grp A M3 over the Joux plane stage but coverted from RBR and running in Assetto Corsa!

Oh man.. this gives me great hope that they can do some serious modding to AC and give us a proper modern rally sim.

Bit quiet in here recently! I've just got a new laptop and had to reinstall RBR - but I can't find some old mods. Anyone able to link me to the Phil Mills codriver mod? Would be much appreciated :)

You can try Pacenote Manager which is available here: http://forum.rallyesim.fr/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=578 . I've used this before without any problems but few weeks ago I couldn't get it to work, don't know why.

Thanks mate. Does this work outside of RSRBR?

It should. It replaces audio files of pacenotes in the Audio folder so RBR should load the notes straight from there not the Audio.dat file. I tried searching for stand alone audio pack but couldn't find one.

Maybe tomorrow I'll have time to figure out why I don't get the new audio files in RSRBR because I can see the manager is replacing the files but when I boot up RSRBR I'll get the default ones. Very strange.

I got it working. First time by creating new audio.dat file, then later found easier solution. That is renaming audio.dat to something else and RBR loads the sounds from the folder.

ps29, did you get it working? If you only have stock RBR, I think you need to extract audio.dat, then copy files from phil_mills.dat over, then repack the audio folder.

Good work - I did too thanks, on a clean copy it wasn't too bad to fix. Cheers :)
