A unique track where top speed is generally more of an issue than at other tracks. 330km/h for Max B.....awesome.
Really great day for the Emperor and Aprilia and one that Rea would rather forget. Toseland is firing at the moment and Sykes and the Kawasaki showed the potential of the marque, particularly in Race 2 during the heads-up with Haga.
Unfortunate debut for Sakai on the Yoshi Suzuki but lap times were generally approx 3 secs down throughout the weekend.
BMs went really well but I wouldn't get too carried away with the first podium finish for Troy C in Race 2 having regard to the gaggle of front-runners who were caught up in the mayhem at the chicane in that race.

Top 3 in Supersport are miles ahead of a "no depth" field - chuck the odd Triumph in with Davies, spewing McCoy got the flick & Yamaha dont have a team...
Fujiwara & Pirro are wasting factory machinery...

Great to see Corser give BMW a podium, Haslam was a very lucky boy to finish 2nd in race 2 after his big "almost" high side...

Brilliant rides by Sykes to drag that dog of a Kawasaki into the top 10 and get me some much needed MCN dream team points :D

 I have an irrational dislike of green colored motorbikes but was a big fan of Akira Yanagawa so am obviously able to get over it and cheer for a rider I like. Great to see Tom Sykes having two good races.

About Nori...... What has gone wrong? I can't believe how badly this year is turning out for him.

Probably effects of the little injury he picked up at Phillip Island? Also, he didn't do any testing I think two weeks ago or so, because he had high fever. It's clearly some problem with the factory Ducati, they're getting beaten by even the privateer Althea Ducati squad. I hope it's not some motivation problems with Nori, because he came so close last year, only to be second again.

I was going to say that, the moaning has started already! Ducati need to realise that while it is tradition, nobody makes them run V-twin engines!!

Ducati still has a get out of jail free card - their performance so far may mean that the parity rules may come into play and they'll lose air restrictors and/or lose some weight, I can't recall the specifics.

But having said that, I reckon the departure of Tardozzi is the main problem with the factory Ducs this year; and by extension, is also the reason BMW is coming on so quickly this year.

Maybe Duke can run a 1398 next year...
