Your System and Browser

I'm curious about which OS and browser people around here use and why. It's a hot topic for me as I impatiently await the release of Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, just like dozens of other people around the world. :p :

Me:
- Ubuntu 9.10
- Firefox

Why? I fell in love with the way Linux works and is created a long time ago. It was a little inconvenient to use in the old days, but not anymore. It's free, it's fast, it's secure and it's reliable. Love it.

XP and Firefox on my pc but Windows 7 and IE8 on my laptop.

Vista basic here but only cos it came with my laptop, I suppose I could change to something else but don't have the willpower. Browser is IE something, have no reason at all to change :up:

W7 on my work laptop with IE8
XP on my work PC with IE7

No reason to use anything else for me :)

Windows XP Professional and either Firefox or Chrome on my late 2006 model Dell Inspiron laptop....

Wouldn't use Vista if it was the last os on earth....

Internet explorer at home, Safari at work (although I'm not sure that I completely trust safari so try to avoid eBay, Paypal etc.

Got XP on my netbook, vista on my PC (big pile of slow crap) and XP on the work laptop.

PC 1: Vista Home x64 +Firefox +IE8 (for browsing and development apps)
PC 2: XP Pro SP3 (for H/W drivers not supported by Vista/Win7)
PC 3: Vista Home 32bit +Firefox (Home Theatre PC in the 'cave')
Laptop 1: Vista Home x64 + Firefox (tablet - bookreader - travel companion)
Laptop 2: XP Pro SP2 + IE7 & Firefox (legacy apps)
Laptop 3: XP Pro SP2 + Firefox (wireless music server)

I would be wary of using Chrome as a browser, as they have been shown to log your activity?
