Motorsport Music Playlist Collaboration

I'm currently compiling a playlist of songs on Spotify (http://www.spotify.com) of all the songs that remind me of motorsport. These include songs that have been used in motorsport TV shows, montages, albums, websites and on raceday at race meetings and on the radio. Songs that have been heard on the way to race meetings have also been listed. At the moment, only songs I know have been added.

One of Spotify's great features is that you can collaborate on playlists with other users.

It isn't on Spotify! That song is extremely important it's a big shame it's not there. But 'Shut up and Drive' is nearly as Iconic :D

Muse - Hysteria was the theme to MotoGp. And is it The Race by Yello? Remember seeing that at a Class 1 powerboat thing years ago and has always stuck in my mind.

ITV's 'farewell' at the end of 2008. Tried to find a video of it but FOM have removed them all.

And yes, it's Fatboy Slim you're thinking of.

Erm......the original was..........but errrr.........The Chemical Brothers did a remix, yeah that was it, the remix was erm........only ever used at Rye House kart track 'cos that's where The Chemical Brothers used to race........

I think they get abused everywhere they go. They need to invest in riot shields for every member of the band. I only like this song because of what it reminds me of.

Bit of a personal one but pretty much any of the Coldplay - Parachutes album reminds me of rallying because it was on in the car when I first went to a WRC rally. I'll forever associate that album with seeing Colin McRae at full chat.

My brother did a CD for the RAC in November and I must have heard it dozens of times. 2 that stick out are Kasabian - Underdog and Skream - Blue Eyes (but Spotify don't have that so I just added the La Roux remixed track instead as that was on the CD too :up: )

I mostly prefer instrumental music when it comes to motorsport montages (or anything related). "Epic" songs are always good (Immediate Music, Two steps from Hell, Hans Zimmer, etc.).

Here are a few from this side of the pond: Red Barchetta by Rush, and I find I am always putting my license on the line when I hear Rock n' Roll by Led Zeppelin. Throw in Shoot to thrill by AC DC and for some reason, I like Fever by Garth Brooks when I am driving....

Not as eclectic as the mix you guys have...but I just like these ones...

You probably won't want to add it but My Favorite Game by The Cardigans always reminds me of F1. I think it was played as a summary of the Australian GP many years ago; It was so well synched with the screen images and it's stuck with me ever since. :) Plus the lady from the cardigans is beautiful. :)
