[B] Ardenne Bleue - East Belgian Rally

Tomorrow will start the first round of the Belgian championship 2007, the Ardenne Bleue – East Belgian Rally.

Freddy Loix will drive the whole Belgian championship with the VW Polo Super 2000 of René Georges Rally Sport. The RACB (Royal Automobile Club of Belgium) has said that he S2000 must drive in the A7 class. Strange, because in Ypres the S2000’s must drive in N4...

Loix opponents for the Belgian title are Melissa Debackere (Toyota Celica GT-Four) and Chris Van Woensel (Nissan 350Z). Both will drive the full championship. The Nissan of Van Woensel has now 350 powerhorses.

Favourite for the victory this weekend will be Larry Cols.

Gilles Schammel rent a Citroën C2-R2 for this weekend. This is his preparation for his JRC campaign that start in the WRC event of Portugal.

In the Belgium championship he will drive only Ypres with a S2000 and the Condroz Rally with his Ford Focus WRC.

In WRC he will drive Catalunya, Germany and Ireland. Probably he drives the full French tarmac championship too.
