Swan Honda's Ellison crashed at Goodwood, one of the fastest points of the circuit, which brought out the red flag with 22 minutes remaining. Ellison has sustained a broken femur in the crash.

Quay Garage Honda's Tommy Bridewell will miss this weekend's second round of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship following his crash in free practice yesterday. After being treated by medics at the circuit, Bridewell was transferred to Salisbury Hospital where he underwent surgery on his damaged little finger on his right hand
