Yup....seems silly but here's the deal as best I've been able to figure it out. Remember, this is all ssimply opinion that will be refuted by anyone in charge

Speed has a Pay For Play policy. You bring the product you want on their channel along with the money and they air it. They then sell commercial time etc, while charging varying amounts to the producers/event promoters.

This is basically why the ASA wasn't seen on Speed after it's shake-up.
The new ASA big dogs refused to pay and tried to pass the charge on to event promoters who also balked.

I truly believe it was even simpler than that.....the Barrett Jackson Auctions took precedence....even Speed's F1 coverage has suffered because of the auction...Bob Varsha is covering that instead of f1...

indeed, I thought there was a time that cars/trucks had to post or go to the pits, many trucks were 4-5 seconds a lap slower

Whatever it was was, it was on/near the line entering pit road. It was a good yellow.....meanwhile...

Pretty much a snoozer other than I love a good bass whoopin, and the kid I compare to Dan Gurney took the win. Had to fight off going to sleep in the easy chair within the first few laps. Liked how he said that if Sam wants come by and beat up a truck it's ok with him.
