So, it's confirmed - Fabrizio Giovanardi will drive a Vectra for Triple Eight at Thruxton. Great news!!

This is mega news, so much for an all british grid but brilliant to have Gio back. I guess he loves it on these shores too much to not stay away :D

Oh and that Vectra just looks gorgeous in black and silver

excellent news! I'm glad he's back, one of the best characters in racing!

Aslong as he doesnt win the championship this year, it would be too annoying if he denied Plato! :D

Good news on Good friday. Some people don't like the look of the car, but from the angles I've seen so far it looks good. As long as 888 haven't done anything Pinkney-esque it'll be a mean looking machine!

I've been wondering about that sponsor 'UNIQ' on the car, and did a little research - I've linked it to this American Luxury Auto retailer - www.uniqmotorsports.com (http://www.uniqmotorsports.com)

It seems a strange and tenuous link with a Vauxhall Vectra in the BTCC. Ideas?

In fact, UNIQ seems like quite a large brand, looking at www.uniqscene.com (http://www.uniqscene.com). UK market penetration, perhaps?

i second that...i was never a fan of VXR livery but i will admit triple eight's looks stunning

It looks very mean up close. Both cars have large WD40 logos on the bonnet.
