Started on the weekend with round 1 being run at Interlagos. These cars used to be old NASCAR stock cars i do believe - now i think they run different types of shells (like puegeots), not sure of engines. Anyway, they get 40 cars each round so i guess it is very popular.
Former Indy Car / V8 Supercar driver Max Wilson won the opening round.

Stock Car Brasil has more in common with touring car racing than stock car racing.
