I dont know if its due to the COT but these past 2 seasons ive enjoyed the martinsville races, previously thought it to be the worse racing of the season.
Although it made for an exciting finish i just dont think that caution when Burton bounced off the wall was necessary. Its my pet hate with nascar how they always look for a late caution just to get a close finish.
If i wasnt Kyle Busch fan maybe i wouldnt be so annoyed lol.

Well look who's in first place in the point standings. And has the most wins. He's like the Yankees & the Lakers & Duke all rolled into one.

Johnson has nothing on Loeb, whos rolling on 5 straight right now and maybe the best driver in the world

Who really has nothing on Michael Shumacher in his heydey...

Or maybe Valentino Rossi, who besides his 7 MotoGP championships also supposedly tested a Ferrari F1 car faster then Alonso.

At what point does a domination of a series get so strong that you start to wonder if everyone else in the series is just mediocre?

harvick#1
31st March 2010, 02:54
the thing is though, is that Johnson "lucked" into alot of wins, alot have been dominate, but others by being in the right place at the right time.

Schumi, Rossi, and Loeb, just destroyed the competition. especially Rossi last year when Lorenzo was time and time again, outsmarted and outraced by Rossi.

but I believe Vettel can be the next man to make a serious run, I dunno if RBR is gonna keep up with updating the car better than Ferrari, but put Vettel in a reliable car and its over, he should already have 2 wins like what Powers has done so far in the IRL, and that is destroy the field and make them chase you, I think Powers will get win #3 in two weeks as well, as whos gonna stop him

I'm hoping the spoiler for the CoT is gonna be a success on the bigger tracks, I actually liked Harvicks quotes he gave the media about the whole thing, and said its a totally pointless discussion as the track is not a test, they need to run the race at 1.5 mile to see how good it is

Ha! You might be able to win one championship by luck, but 4 championships in a row in a series as tight as Nascar, you got to be a freakin' machine. (I'll admit it - I always end up rooting for dominate winners. I used to dislike Jimmie, now I find myself cheering him.)

Your right, Vettel is fast. F1 is looking like it is going to be intense this year. Ferrari is on it, McLaren is back and FAST & has the 2 most recent world champs, Red Bull is BAD FAST but still unreliable, Mercedes is defending world champ (Brawn last year) and Ross Brawn is still leading, and the Renault manages 2nd! Good stuff.

I don't know that the spoiler is going to make racing any better... It is interesting how much better & faster they've gotten the COT in a couple of years. They are now lapping some tracks faster then the "twisted" car did. Almost nobody gets busted for "cheating" anymore, and the "haves" with big money are even more ahead of the "have-nots".

Holy moly!

For moment Denny committed Hari-Kari and still comes out on top with less than 10 to go!

The engineering aspect bores me now except some of the know-how on getting the best out of the COT.
