Hi guys, Just joined, so bear with me whilst i get to grips with what happens here.

Down to business.
Does anyone have any advice, or is anyone in a position to offer any chance of a co drivers seat on any road or stage rallyies??
Only i am aware that my age, 15 (16 in April) may hold me back a little, but i would like to gain any experience i can with any level of driver.
Knowlege of timecontrols and rally formats can onl really be learnd whilst on the event.
I would be able to make it to most events south of London quite easily, and further affeild if needs be, and i would be able to contrivute a small amount to any entry fees.
Regards, Bill

Bill join a motorclub london irish motorclub would be a good one or check the MSA website for suitable clubs in your area
then do some 12 car events and sit in with people and work your way up

do you marshal?

time marshalling on road rallies is one of the most important things you can do. You see so much and if you sign on for a decent crew, you can learn so so much from them when back at the finish venue chatting about how the night went!

otherwise, as Mark said ;)

got an older brother/sister? drag oen of them along to the club too, or your dad etc. get someone else intersted and you can learn together how to do things. Lot of experienced people in L.I. who will teach you

Bill whereabouts do you actually live?

London Irish has been suggested but they meet in North London, and depending on where you actually live you can find a better club more locally.

I live in Reading and my club is very rally focused but would be only of use if you were west of Slough and east of Newbury.

A motorclub rather than the web is the best place to be but check out Andrew Bargery's website http://www.andrewbargery.com plenty of co-driving tips on there.

I live down in Bournemouth, Dorset. I am thinking of joining the Bournemouth Distric Car Club.
Might try and get on some road rallies as a co driver for someone, but i dont think anyone will want me, as i have NO experience :( .
Thanks for the replies though guys ;)

Post a message in the road rally forum, everyone has to start somewhere, including drivers.

Bournemouth is an excellent choice for a MC with a rally bias.

Mark Lowe obviously thinks there is only one MC in the south...........

someones getting confused with the other fourm that has a road rally section lol.

If your in bouremouth you may as well join the one suggested. They part organise the Carpetbagger which is a cracking road rally apparently.

From memory you said your age is 15 so its an ideal age to get out on the lanes and learn the trade the proper way.

try this:

http://www.co-driverschool.com

Was recently set up between twice WRC Champ Nicky Grist and Ancro class winning nav Holly Robinson who is associated in many ways (including running the business) to GwynneSpeed RallySchool.
