The last year when there were no foreign drivers was 1982, you'd have been close if you said 83 but that year ex-F1 driver Hans-Joachim Stuck made a few guest appearances.

As for others i know...
Despite winning many races and one championship thanks to Frank Gardner in 1973, 2010 will be the first time Chevrolet has fielded a full works entry.[/*:m:1d7y6oji]
This year, it will be the first time since 2002 when 2 or more manufacturer teams will enter the BTCC at the same time, back then Honda (after a 1 year hiatus) and Proton joined Vauxhall and MG in the fray after Peugeot's withdrawal.[/*:m:1d7y6oji]
Vauxhall have had the longest run as an official manufacturer backed entry running for 20 years (1989-2009).[/*:m:1d7y6oji]
Rob Collard is the only driver eligible for Independents cup honours this season to have won the title before (2003).[/*:m:1d7y6oji]
Arena Ford are not the first team that have attempted to use alternative fuels, Mardi Gras Motorsport tried LPG power for a short period with John George in 2004. Biofuels have also been attempted with Fiona Leggate being the most notable advocate before WSR used it with some success.[/*:m:1d7y6oji]

They were in B&Q red at the beginning of the season but switched to B&Q Warehouse Orange in mid season
