Am I the only interested...

BRC 2010 season will start in the next saturday 27th with The Bulldog International Rally of North Wales. Basic information can be found on the http://www.bulldog-rally.co.uk/

Entry list is not breathtaking but as I´m a Finnish rally enthusiast I´ll keep my eye on the three Finnish crews starting in the rally.

n# 16 Matti Rantanen with Renault Twingo R2
n# 17 Jarkko Nikara with Renault Twingo R2
n# 33 Mikko Pajunen with Suzuki Swift R1

Matti Rantanen showed his FWD speed in the 2009 BRC. Jarkko Nikara was competing in the Pirelli program in the selected WRC rounds. Mikko Pajunen is in his first International rally but will definitely show some good pace and spectacular driving.
Everyone of these Flying Finns are worth to follow.

So now it´s your time to add some (local) info.

I think about 9 out of 10 are far more excited by the Bulldog being the first round of the British Historic Championship (35 BDAs to listen to...).
Our so called "ruling body" must be tearing their hair out that their modern open championship is a distant second in popularity...

As for local info, the roadworks at Ford that the official rally site makes so much of should only be a problem for Bulldog people heading to scrutineering Friday evening rush hour and returning from the rally Saturday late afternoon/early evening.

Buy a programme from Welshpool farmers market - that will give you all the info you need. Or so i'm told.

Historics won't visit Sweetlamb.

There was a power cut at HQ just as the first times were due. The main results server was not affected as it was running on an uninterruptible power supply but various other systems went down including the connection to the Internet. When power was restored after about 15 minutes we then had difficulty reestablishing the connection and getting everything else working. Results were available by 9:45am. Sorry for the inconvenience.

First time we had spectated on this rally and decided to follow the BRC Internationals.Cronin just looks soin control and fast at the same time (a bit Loeb like) andfully deserved his win.Would like to see him do a few rounds of IRC or S-WRC to see where he currently is in terms of speed to the elite drivers out there.Breen looked and and sounded awesome ,so we was a bit dissapointed he only managed 2 stages but will win a round this year.
Fisher and Weston Jnr are improving at a fast rate and could win a round this year.
The stages where in great condition, and we are looking forward to going back for Rally Gb.
Anyway here is a quick video of the event:http://www.youtube.com/user/chumbawonder#p/a/u/0/mQf1E64dTmQ

These things sometimes happen. And the service was great after that!
