Both RCR and EGR are running ECR engines as everyone knows.Looking at qualifying I gotta say there's nothing wrong with the 5TH spring in THOSE cars :eek:

It goes back to the old espn days of nascar. One of the drivers (I think it was Ernie Irvan, could have been DJ) was turning some incredibly fast laps one day, but was obviously having difficulties in the turns, and still kept blowing by other cars on the straightaways. Ned Jarrett pointed out that it looked like the car was having problems in the corner,and that it probably needed a different shock/spring package on the car. BP shot back "there sure a'int nuttin wrong with the 5th spring on THAT car! It stuck with me ever since. Announcers such as Bestwick, Joy,Larry Mac throw it back out there every once in a while, especially when 1 teams engine package is getting it done in the horsepower dept in a given year.The way ECR engines are performing THIS year,I expect we'll be hearing it mentioned again in the near future :D
