Why is an anion a more negative thing than a cation?

An anion has more electrons that protons. Electrons have a negative charge.

Ana is "up" in Greek, whereas Kata is "down". An An-ion is "up" in the number of electrons relative to what a neutrally charged atom would do.

Always a place for them...but I worry there may not be a home for Antimatter. It keeps me awake at night it does....
