It's confirmed now: as published this morning on WRC.com, there's a new type of points system. Now, the top-ten will be awarded, rather than the top-eight.

Points distribution are:
1st: 25 points
2nd: 18 points
3rd: 15 points
4th: 12 points
5th: 10 points
6th: 8 points
7th: 6 points
8th: 4 points
9th: 2 points
10th: 1 point

Also, the huge gap between 1st and 2nd makes us think the same intentions than in the point system introduced in F1 for this year: to try to push as much as possible for a win.

Here's the article from WRC.com: http://www.wrc.com/jsp/index.jsp?lnk=101&id=6843&desc=FIA+introduces+new+WRC+points+allocation

Prehaps Zinebahe does exist after all!

The FIA made this championship for Sebastion Loeb.

The other drivers have no hope.

I think this is a good decision.

I guess you want Loeb to win?

Why don't You continue where this issue is already discussed? Keeping two threads about the same topic is pointless.
