Hi,

The organizer of the next 1000km of Spa-Francorchamps in may, announced today there will be three Audi R15s, two Kolles R10s and four Peugeot 908s in this race, used as repetition for the 2010 24h of Le Mans race :D :bounce:

Event not to be missed, there should be a lot of action netween the factory crews

I wish now Aston-Martin could come with at least two Lolas(+ the one of Signature) and also the japanese DOME S102(if accepted by ACO for Le Mans entry), also Pescarolo to come and run this event and Le Mans,...

well, Fernandez racing is trying to get a Aston Martin-Lola for ALMS.

I'm just hoping Peugeot isn't gonna wimp out of Petit, claiming they don't want to do the Intercontinental Cup. which I believe they just dont want to race Audi anymore, which is a reason why they banned Audi from Sebring as Audi wanted to race an updated car.

If Peugeot didn't want to meet Audi anymore they wouldn't plan Spa and even Le Mans :p :

I hope too they will be at PLM(if not the factory, why not the ORECA) ;)

I believe ORECA will be back, but not with the Peugeot, but with the other car. it would be awesome if oreca and Peugeot would come, Signature Plus might be on the list for the Intercontinental Cup, so there is a AMR along with possibly Fernandez wanting a Aston also.

and with Kolles and Audi confirm, it could be one wild race

No Kolles, no Pescarolo no WR :s

But indeed a great fight in LMP1 to wait between the factory teams

What's up with the Signature Aston? I guess they aren't nearly as good in the driver department compared to the other Aston Martin LMP team. Why aren't they there anyway?

According to Radio Le Mans today during last free practice, "Quick Nic" would have been wounded and wouldn't be able to race the Pug #2 alongside Montagny and Sarrazin tomorrow !!! :(

I hope more news soon

One answer: don't believe the weather forecasts in Belgium until you see it live. ;)

Is that Luís Pérez Companc in the Munchi's Ferrari?

Anyone knows why car 41, Team Bruichladdich did not run in the qualification ?

Wanted to follow Ebbesvik, but they stood still in the pits as far as I could see.

Finally #3 908 driver Sébastien Bourdais gets pole position ahead of #9 Audi Timo Bernhardt :bounce:

#2 908 Stéphane Sarrazin got too much trafic to get a better time than 3rd, ahead of #4 Oreca 908 Nicolas Lapierre ;)

#8 and #7 Audis(André Lotterer and Tom Kristensen at the wheels)follow ahead of Alex Wurz #1 908(set-up problem/oversteer)...

Fantastic time by Watts on the Strakka Honda LMP2
The belgian Ford gets GT best time :D

Until this is sorted, other Manufacturers will not join. Peugeot v Audi, yet again!
I want to see a LMP1 Ferrari, Porsche, etc

I went to Spa on friday. Peugeot's and Audi's were boring to watch. We need some noise!!!
I had a great time thanks to all the other cars.

Do you have any doubt that if Peugeot or Audi had an Otto Engine, they would be on the same pace they are now?! The difference between both over the rest is the money they put into each car.

no. its the engines mainly, as long as the diesels have a huge advantage in acceleration and torque. now if they limited top speed to the diesels, that would make it more interesting, but whats needed is the diesels can stay, but the ACO needs to enforce smaller Diesels engines to the Petrol engines.

remember the Audi R8 always had its fight with the Lolas and Porsche RS Spyders, and at Lemans they always were slower then the Domes, Pescarolo's, but were more reliable

Yeah, hopefully what happens is that Aston Martin makes a better car for next year, and that their HP makes up for the loss of torque in comparison to the diesels. I guess they should go for more lower end power as well, to get them on the the better acceleration out of turns.

I've notcied know that Audi isnt really racing in this, as Peugeot is running the high-downforce setup vs Audis Low-downforce "Lemans" setup. so Audi is basically making this a test session in the run up

what happened to the Oreca??? out after 4 laps

The Oreca had a big crash in Eau Rouge with Panis at the wheel. He couldn't do anything, as Jean-Christophe Bouillon had to much speed and catched the Oreca.

Hi Sulland

TCE went out to qualify but they unfortunately had a rare engine failure before completing a lap.
