Welcome to the Massive Movie Quote Quiz Of Awesomeness: Or MMQQOA if you will.

Cue me, stage left, wearing sparkly gold jacket and sporting a perma-tan.

Come and have a go if you want to play the *best and most totally legendary quiz on Motorsport Forum. Its fun!*

There are no rules, you may google if you must, but its much more fun without.

A quick example?

Q. What movie is this a quote from?
"Obi-Wan never told you what happened to your father."
"He told me enough. He told me you killed him."
"No. I am your father."

A. So you would answer;
Deuce bigalow: Male Gigalo ;) :p
And I would say "no your great clot - you are wrong.

See simples.

Ok so we all get the idea. Here's the real first question;

Q. Which movie is this a quote from? Bonus awesomeness for the year too.
"Fuel gauge is shot. How long can we fly on one engine? --I don't know. I guess we'll find out"

*this statement in no way entitles you to a good time playing the above quiz. There may be (and probably is) other better games on this and other forums.

Oh Sonic, I am going to suggest this one was from "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom?" I am totally at a loss but I like the idea of the thread....

Thanks for taking pity on my little thread!

And no, its not. Perhaps I went a wee bit obscure for the first one.

I take pity on most threads...lol...and yours is actually one that should catch on once they grasp what it is. THAT was your problem...

AS for the question, I know I have heard the line, but I just cannot grasp the movie.

Return of the Phoenix perhaps?

Ok...I guess since I "won" that last one, I will come up with a question:

IN what movie did the line "We are Hmong, we were on your side" come from?

It's okay to quote lyrics from a musical?

"... the wheels are in motion, and I am ready to sail any ocean"

If it is too difficult you can Google the lyrics :p

I'll just check the rule book *consults blank sheet of A4*

Yep its fine.

Musicals are out of my comfort zone so i'll guess "south pacific" because that's got an ocean in the title!

Ray

Sonic
25th January 2010, 10:50
I'll give you it; the line was said in both movies IIRC. Although I'm pretty sure you don't mean '56.

raybak
25th January 2010, 10:56
The year 56 in the movie, sorry misunderstood.

Ok here's the next one

"This isn't just a thousand to one shot. This is a professional bloodsport. And it can happen to you. And then it can happen to you again."
