No one will be allowed to drive the Puma so that WRC can be kept equivalent to S2000

Well, I completed all my stages today. Managed to shake the rust off, not that I was ever very fast to begin with...but, it felt good. Doubt I'll come close to the stage times of the heavy-hitters but I did knock out some of my previous best times, so at least I'm improving!

I've received 5 timecards thus far :up:

I am running a manual Subaru alongside an automatic Subaru.

In the snow-my times are rough;y equal, but on tarmac I am about 10 seconds faster on the longer stages with the automatic.

Rally done. I took a huge gamble and used snow tyres for every stage except the first 4. I think my times on snow are very good, but obviously the ones on tarmac are much, much worse. This rally will be all about the balance - who is slowest on the surface that doesn't suit the tyres?

Also, this rally is a one-off for cars. The Peugeot doesn't suit me. I'm going for a C4 in the proper championship.

I did the same thing. I don't have a lot of experience with CMR2 so the slippery surfaces like snow/dirt/gravel give me fits. I still have problems beating the AI on expert level. :mad:

So since I felt I needed every ounce of grip I could get I went with snow tires for the split stages. Maybe it's just my lack of experience but I wasn't that much slower on the tarmac than normal...

I wasn't that much slower on the tarmac, but definately 7 or 8 secs at least behind my normal tarmac tyres time. On tarmac tyres though, my snow stages would be 7 or 8 minutes slower!

The 2010 Monte Carlo rally opened with four asphalt stages to greet the competitors.

It was a day dominated by PS29 in the Peugeot 207 sweeping scratch times on all stages except SS1 which was won by Lugnut in his Ford Focus. Tannat pursued close behind in his Subaru taking second quickest time on the final stage of the day, finishing the day nearly nine seconds adrift of the leader, and one second adrift of Lugnut.

Slightly furhter back a battled opened between the Abarth of Zes and the Peugeot of Rallyboy-the Peugeot driver closing the day 4 seconds ahead. Tuomo and Eetu rounded out the field in their Abarths.

Humn day 1 was nice battle ehehe

like i said with this times poested, Day 1, we should made a video of us playng to make the Day 1 highlights..well its just and ideia :)

Day two faced the competitors with the first dose of snow and disagreeable weather and conditions for the event. A seesaw battle started amongst the top three with Tannat winning the opning stage, PS29 winning the second and final stages of the day (both with snowy conditions) and Lugnut taking stage 2. However, due to his superior overall performance for the day Lugnut went to bed with top honors, followed by PS29 less than 5 seconds adrift with Tannat in the Subaru a further 3+ seconds back.

Further down the field the day's conditions played into the hand of Zes who captured 4th i the snowy and wet conditions, with Rallyboy, Tuomo and Eetu stretched out a bit at the back fo the field.

Get the mistakes out the way before the real championship at least! Make sure you check your times twice before posting. I've made mistakes before and it's annoying so I put more effort into making sure they're correct now.

The final day of the rally brought much the same as day 2-more snow and more adverse conditions, including one stage in darkness. Also much the same was the battle up front with PS29 winning the opening stage on snow with Tannat and Lugnut both within less than two seconds of his time. On the second stage of the day Lugnut signaled his intentions winning the stage by 5 seconds over Tannat and nearly ten seconds over PS29. Tannat responded wining the final two stages of the rally, but it was not enough. Lugnut won the rally with over 12 seconds in hand over Tannat, with PS29 rounding out the podium having a torrid day three.

Zes led the rest of the pack in the top placed Abarth in 4th, while Rallyboy bounced back from a horrible day 2 to finish the rally 5th. Tuomo bested brother Eetu to fill the final two finishing positions.

I'm very busy over the next fortnight with university visits and applications and nonsense, so the earlier the better for me so I can 'focus' my recce without crowding everything in to a short space of time. I'm not saying 'NOW' but as soon as is reasonable.
