How's everyone saying it?

Twenty ten?

Or

Two thousand and ten?

I'm in the twenty ten camp myself (but then I've been saying twenty oh nine, oh eight etc.)

I said nineteen-ninety-nine so twenty-ten makes most sense. I used to say two-thousand-nine because twenty-nine would be confusing.

Twenty-ten for me. The "two thousand and" bit was more convenient until 2009 (somehow splitting those zeroes just felt wrong) but now it's just like 1910. Except everything's more expensive.

I was wondering this very thing earlier whilst writing a cheque.

I'm sayimng twenty ten, but the people I've heard say it all said two thousand and ten.

The country here seems divided, as usual :p :

I've been saying twenty-ten. At work we have to initial and date every piece of paper that goes in a file. I have a serious inability to write 1/10 right now as I'm used to automatically writing /0 as the year. Thank God for tippex.

"Two thousand ten"

What happened to the "and", did it get lost in customs on its way to Canada?

Seems that they don't have 'and' of in North America. Same as we don't use 'the' in Northern England.

Twenty-ten, it's quicker if nothing else. Although I refuse to use the term "Noughties" to refer to the last decade :)

hehe to enter Canada or US it must get pass FDA regulation :)

it looks the use of 'and' applies only for 2001-2010. Next year doesn't sound nice if we call it two thousand and eleven, so for 2011 and beyond just call it two thousand eleven, as for 2010 two thousand and ten, or twenty ten looks fine. just imo :)
