CMR2 WRC 2010 Entry/Rule thread

Basically all rules remain the same: be honest, no cheating or using in-game cheats, no shortcutting, etc.

Trophies will remain as they were in 2009:

The Colin McRae Trophy will be open for all drivers who do not win a rally in the current season.

The Richard Burns Trophy will be open for all drivers who do not score a podium in the current season.

However all eligible drivers can still compete for more than one cup (ie the same driver could win the McRae trophy and the Drivers Championship)

The Drivers Championship and Teams Championship remains the same, with all drivers and teams competing being eligible.

Sure-you can drive S2000 all season if you like.


However I do not plan to offer a separate S2000 trophy for the year. S2000 will be equivalent to WRC in that regard.....

May be a very thin year for participants. At least three have voiced Windows 7 issues. I note jso1985 has not posted heer since the Wales rally thread back in October :(

Hopefully a Win7 cure will be found soon. We should still have 4 or 5 per round I think, especially if Jso returns, and nearer 10 if the Win7 issues are solved.

Quick question - does the "dirt 2.0" mod found here (http://colinmcrae.110mb.com/cmr2_dirt20_Mod_2009.htm) change anything that'd interfere with the season? It looks like most of the changes are cosmetic, but I figured I'd ask.

I think that mod is fine. As long as you don't use anything from the Dakar 4x4s onwards.

If you join me our team is called BFGoodrich Drivers Team. Is that name OK with you? I did that because I'm using Ogier's Peugeot 207 S2000 from Monte Carlo in 2009 - the BFG car. If you have a better name, just say.

p.s. in your entry put 207 S2000 like me, because both the 207 and 206 are based on the original 206 model so it doesn't matter if you change midway through the season.

BTW, I understand we use special cup rules from last years IRC, the old rules for the Colin McRae and Richard Burns cups were not having scored wins/podiums in the previous seasons and scoring one on the current season didn't eliminate you from the cup run.

I'd prefer the old rules, but I'm okay if we use IRC rules

Good to have you back - retaining part of the 'core' of previous series. Should hope to have up to 10 entries now and again - poor compared to the olden days, but acceptable still.

The above is now my entry, replacing the earlier one. I've changed car and team. One round with the Pug S2000 was enough. Back to the good old C4 - a bit like Ogier in real life!

Well, Thanks. I managed to find only 3 different Octavias and not one of them in official Skoda livery. Anyway, not a biggie :)
