Is the Peugeot 207 S2000 being upgraded this year, to take back the leading position from Skoda ?

Of course.

Don't know what topic else to use, so chose this as the most appropriate. Does someobody know where to find the new (!) Peugeot Sport logo in curves (vector form)? I need to make stickers. Thanks in advance for giving a link or sending a file to me!

Very good news !!!! Peugeot announced in a press release today that the current 207 will receive another big evolution in 2012(especially engine) :D
It's not because the 208 R4T is in developpment that the current model will be let down ;)

By the way, almost 100 examples have been sold since the debut of the car...most of them in Abarth's homeland me guesses

But was not the development and homologation on all S2000 NA cars frozen in the end of 2010 or mid 2011?

RICARDO75
13th December 2011, 00:14
The current S2000 NA can be developed.
But if it is to homologate a new model or new car (like Mini) it has to be with the new 1600T engine.

The Evo looks quick, hopefully it can give the Fabia some competition.

Any comments from the testdriver?

Maybe Sarrazin and Bouffier will drive it in Monte-Carlo(SWRC) ;)

Will Sarazin and Boufier wil be SWRC wild cards in Monte Carlo? Only Local citizen are allowed, so only MC drivers, unless the rally is counting as French or Sarrazin and Bouffier are MC citizen?

Mirek

French were always allowed for wildcards in RMC if I remember right.

Monte for sure, otherwise Bouffier wouldn't have tested it already some weeks ago.

Bartek
8th January 2012, 19:40
Ok, but is possible to buy it now? I know it from men who have good news about Solowow. Solowow prefer 207, he said that 207 is better for his driving style.

PLuto

I know that he was thinking about it. But new spec wont be available in next few weeks for use. But for sure you can pre-buy it.

Bartek

Everything is depend how much time he will have. He planned Polish Championship and one series in Europe (Rumors about IRC but i think it will be ERC).

If Bouffier in the new evo are clearly faster than the Fabias, it will be interesting to see if that does something with the orderbooks of the 207 again.

When will that be? Bouffier's Peugeot is not PHSport-PSA one but from Romo so I don't think it's the new Evo from Peugeot.

The 207 S2000 Evolution+ now figures in the Peugeot Sport catalogue at the same price as the former version. Indeed, it is the only version currently available and its specification includes the very latest developments:
- wide tracks and bodywork kit
- 3B-spec engine

So, when we can see first new 207?

There are rumors about Sołowow and ERC or few starts in WRC. I know also that he waiting for new spec but i'm not sure in 100%

No, if I remember right it was exactly opposite. It was too much in a hurry and he would have no test before the event and therefore stayed with his known car.

You absolutely dont know what you are talking. Michal was using Fiesta S2000 for last two years. In 2011 he tried RRC on one event in Poland, because M-Sport wanted to offer it to him (and he wanted to test it). Peugeot story on Barum - he received offer from Peugeot to start with it, so why not accept it? But car wasnt well prepared, so he started with his usual car...

This would be a plan if you're young and want to build a career. I think Solowow just does this for fun and doesnt really care about the results, and dosen't care either about what we post in the forum.

I agree. Nowdays watching his onboards it's clearly visible that he isn't a total "tourist" anymore. I can totally call it rallying. :) Slowson's gabble is total nonsense. What god damn "respect" and deserving it, huh? I respect all competitors (maybe not because of their speed, but there are n+1 other factors too...) and I really don't like this new atmosphere of hate and polarization here on the forum. Every thread the same thing - someone's trolling/hating/talking BS/making fun of someone.

Solowow survived last year a difficult moisty Ypres! Finished Third excluding Snijers and Bouffer from results. He drove here now 4-5 times I think and u see it he's adapting to it, got also a good co driver. Eventhough he's a gentlemen driver but he learns from his experiences.

I don't know if they still develop something (I doubt so) but what I meant in that other topic is that Peugeot Sport stopped support to any 207-related activities. That means while two years a go there were plenty of Peugeot Sport/importer backed teams, now they are none. They do support only 208 R2 now and later they will support 208 R5.
