http://www.rally-erc.com/article.php?cont=529
Here is the final version of the calendar:
22.-24.04. Rally 1000 Miglia (I)
13.-15.05. 37. Zagreb Delta Rally (CRO)
04.-06.06. Rally Poland (PL)
24.-26.06. Belgium Ypres Westhoek Rally (B) IRC
23.-25.07. Istanbul Rally (TR)
05.-07.08. Rally Vinho da Madeira (P) IRC
27.-29.08. Barum Czech Rally Zlin (CZ) IRC

15.-17.10. Rallye d'Antibes Côte d'Azur (F)

And here is the first driver, who confirmed his ERC program. He says he is able to win the championship. I doubt it, but everybody is entitled to their own opinion. Anyway, good luck!

It is easy to see why very few crews from north europe that drives in the ERC. Most rallies are done in mid, east and south part of the continent - and unfortunately the NEZ cup never took off.
So for the teams from the north, it goes directly from the national scene to WRC. The logical route would be to go via the European championship before going to WRC.
What can be done to achieve that ?

Reduce the number of events in ERC by removing Istanbul (nobody wants to watch rallies in Turkey anyway) and replace Rallye du Valais with Arctic Rally. Not a good idea?

Is it going to be a Czech Clio?
Mirek
6th January 2010, 21:46
Yes, it's ex-Renault Sport car of Cedric Robert (in 07), ex-Josef Sedláček (Czech 2WD champion 08). In 09 it was driven several times by Jan Sýkora. It might be upgraded to newer specification during the year but for sure not before MC.

According to http://rallyonline.pl:84/index.php?1&modex=pnews&&s=26479 this year Abarth will concentrate on Italian championship, but both drivers are planning some foreign rallies as well. Rossetti in ERC and Basso in IRC. Good luck!

Not so precise translation - original article is here (http://www.autosport.cz/clanek.php?cl=9884). It isnt good to split both drivers to written championships. For both will be primar goal CIR, for Rossetti will be interesting also ERC. But he also can starts on events out of IRC, same with Giandomenico who can be seen also on some ERC events.

Luca Betti announced his program in ERC already in December. According to this piece of news his aim is to win ERC 2010:
http://www.lucabetti.com/ultime/luca-betti-si-prepara-gi-per-il-2010-va-in-archivio-una-stagione-costruttiva-e-positiva.html

Polish driver Maciej Oleksowicz announced his plans in ERC. At first, he will drive four events - Mille Miglia, Croatia, Poland and Ypres - and then he is going to choose additional four events.
Last year Oleksowicz was driving Peugeot 207 S2000 and was sixth in the Polish championship:
http://rallyonline.pl:84/ft.php?idg=4079&pg_[go]=34
A few weeks ago he bought Ford Fiesta S2000 and he is going to use this car in ERC.

Again the same old story. Isn't it third year in a row? I know it may sound harsh, especially for our friends from Balkan countries, but what sense does it make to have this rally in ERC? I'm afraid the same will happen with Elpa Rally as Greek economy is at a terrible state this year...
urabus-denoS2000
4th March 2010, 20:36
To put it this way, organizers have a great deal (move the rally out of Zagreb to Rijeka, good sponsors) , if they take it it will be a great rally in my opinion. If they don't , the rally will be cancelled. The problem in my opinion is the organizers are seeking desperately sponsors but still want to "make the rules of the game" , if you know what I mean . They want to keep it in Zagreb while it is obvious how much Zagreb gives a damn about rallying

I think there will be no bulgarian drivers, who will compete in ERC this year :( .
All of the top drivers will drive in our national championship, except Todor Slavov. He' ll drive some rounds in WRC - Rally of Turkey, Vodafone Rally de Portugal, Rally Bulgaria, ADAC Rally Deutschland, Rally de France and RACC Rally de Espana.

Gaby Goudezeune will most probably cancel his ERC program for this year. He had a serious accident during test sessions in VW Polo S2000 from Rene Georges team. Belgian driver broke his leg and will need a few months to recover. Not a good time for Rene Georges team recently.
It is true that Goudezeune had an accident during test of Polo. But i have to say to you that this car not longer belong to RGRS but to Goudezeune himself. He bought that car from RGRS and is also not longer financially involved in RGRS, so this has nothing to do with RGRS.
Gaby broke his foot and is supposed to recover during about three months, so his program in ERC will most probably be cancelled.
Bad luck for him and also for us as spectators, because this means surely no Polo S2000 in Ypres or Barum. :(

Thanks for clarification! It's a pity for Gaby. I remember him as a very spectacular driver in the nineties!

Some questions about ERC standings as they appear on the rally-erc site
http://www.rally-erc.com/standings.php
Why Matteo Gamba didn't take points for the 1st day of Ypres Rally, as he finished 5th (1st 2wd) ?
Also, why Betti didn't take points for the 1st day of Rally of Poland, as he also finished 5th?
Did anybody know the reason, or it is a mistake?

They must finish the rally to get points.
