Renault have cars in R1, R2 and R3. What is the chance of them coming back with a 1600T car for 2011, maybe badged as a Gordini...

I think the chances are low, but i would love seeing them there.

But a Clio would look rather cool ;)

Yes, and it reminds me the Megane WRC project with Delecour that never saw the light of the day

That Clio looks stunning! It would be great to see that in a WRC champ, not only on JWRC

Autosport says that Renault want to sell thir F1 team, and just produce engines for RedBull.

If that happens they could free up a team for a WRC campaign easily.

Same with Toyota where 500 of 650 in the team is laid off, they also could come back to Rally !

Indeed the picture is photoshopped, but what did Delecour have to do with this, and when was this project in it's planning?

I think this Megane was designed by a guy from Argentina, it was published on foro3d.com.

But rallybuzz published this article in 2008:

What are the engine specs on the R3T class cars? Is it the same as WRC from 2011 onwards? If so this would mean that renault has already developed the engine & just needs to work on the chassis which put's forward an interesting question. Which way is better for manufacters, S2000-2011WRC or R3T-2011WRC?

I don't know speciffic WRC 1.6T regulations but R3T engines are very simple and close to production units. Whole top R3T car costs around 60 tousand Euro which is probably less then WRC 1.6T engine will cost itself...
