To improve the credibility of the regulators there will be a smaller group of permanent F1 stewards (we hear that this will be between eight and 10) plus two-three former F1 drivers. They will form a pool from which the stewards of each event will be selected. There will also be a national steward at each event. So there will be four stewards in total. There will no longer be a non-voting chairman and each group of stewards will elect their own chairman from amongst themselves for each race. Utilising video and radio exchanges they should aim to reach decisions very efficiently

They should have the same 5 people (3 is way to few) at each race.
Also what need is there to have them elect a stewards chairman every race?! :\

And no drivers please, they all have sympathies down the pit lane, so no thanks.

excellent. the fia are reforming a desperately needed part of its system. well done mr todt and co!

lets hope this means much fairer and consistent punishments. I believe it will.

Sure it isn't a guarantee for fairer punishments, but such solution is a step in a positive direction and is worth a try. In this respect Todt's presidency has made a good start.

BEcause ex-formula one drivers have a racers perspective, and this is a positive since noone can agree on an absolute right way to administrate stewarding.
