I know they can just barely get 100 miles on a tank at these fast smooth tracks, but will anyone risk it on the first race with the new fuel?

Who was the smoking yellow car that was leaving the pits as #18 was coming in?

17 cars on the lead lap

I'm glad RCR and Harvick and the 29 finally got a good setup for this track :)

what a run for the Red bull guys.

seems Vickers is much better off than being in the 25 :D

Looks like he just became 2 laps down. I dont know what the hell is goin on. He was in 17th position in lead lap before pitting. How could he be 2 laps down ??

Is that again a pit stop problem...

harvick#1
25th February 2007, 23:54
Burton s fastest in the top 5 and Harvick is 2nd fastest :D

I have a lot of respect for Vickers, deciding he'd be better being an inexperienced team leader at a new team, than being the 3rd Hendrick car. How many other drivers would walk away from Hendrick for some thing totally unknown at that stage in their career?

harvick#1
25th February 2007, 23:56
Has Stan fallen asleep, wheres are flag guy :D

Hoss Ghoul
25th February 2007, 23:57
I think Montoya can make it on fuel.

He went another lap down because he pitted so late, and thus lost alot of time to cars on newer tires.

However, he is currently right behind the #48 Jimmie Johnson, the leader, and is maintaining his interval.

Montoya's lap times have improved to 41.30's and the like.

Berrier reports that the 29 will be 9 laps short on fuel if it stays green...

JPM's team is going to go the rest of the way without stopping(assuming no caution). They expect the other teams to begin pitting again in about 10 laps, and they hope to inherit a top 10 or so position. Per team radio.

Osella
26th February 2007, 00:02
What do we reckon, Splash n Dash stops with 10 to go? Could help out the 07 and 20, they've been fast in the stops all day.

I'll agree with that. And the same Roush car is still strong. But Gordon is looking good as is Johnson and all of the RCR cars are tops right now. The 29, the 31 and the 07 all look good so far. And it seems that Dodge is having some issues with the car as usual, not surprising as they've changed that nose for the third time in about 4 years...

DW was saying that RCR may have the edge with the CoT races.

but Roush struggled at Cali, except for Kenseth. Biffle and Edwards were never a factor, until Biffle wrecked David in the closing laps like a bonehead.

Penske is alot better, both Kurt and Ryan ran in the top 15 all race long.

no, Blaney will be good, he was in the top 10 for most of the race until his engine let go.

dont_be_jack

Blaney runs the 22, which if I remember right was in the top 35 of owner's points from last year and will probably make it in this year in three races. But he had the benefit of being guaranteed a spot for the first five races. No other Toyota team has had that advantage. They've all had to race in.

Reutimann is also having no problem getting in, whats that got to say about Mikey and Dale

Good point. He's doing well getting into the races. Dale has been slower than molasses so far. And Mikey's been...well, Mikey.

normally I'm not to thrilled about the cookie cutter tracks, but I can't wait now until Vegas, RCR was great in testing and Vegas is now a big unkown after they may a complete make-over for the track.

hopefully Vegas will be a good race.

Blaney runs the 22, which if I remember right was in the top 35 of owner's points from last year and will probably make it in this year in three races. But he had the benefit of being guaranteed a spot for the first five races. No other Toyota team has had that advantage. They've all had to race in.
Blaney is my pick to lead all the Toyota drivers this year.

Dale has probably been spending all his time at his daughter's basketball games.....and, nothing wrong with that. Karsyn is a pretty darn good player and her High School team is undefeated with a record of 30 - 0.
