Hello all,
I received the following PM from jimakos a few weeks ago:
i was wandering if you are agree to take the cmr2 wrc championship of next year...
I have a problem with my hand and a lot of work this year so I am not sure if can do it!!!
I want to know your thoughts about it...
I remember that and you wanted to organise it so...
I have agreed to take over as the organizer for the 2010 WRC season. Any ideas for the season? Post them here..
Rules and schedule forthcoming.
Cheers,
Tannat

Sounds good. Sorry about the tail end of last year - I missed the second half due to too much schoolwork and various operations.
Hope to compete more next year.

Thanks.
I have one idea for next year which could be rubbish but sounded good to me. That is to do some stages from each rally to make up one rally rather than just do a CMR2 rally in amateur then pro. e.g. SS1,2,3 France, SS1,3,6 Italy to make up a day for Rally France in real life. It means that we're not just doing the same order of stages every year. Also allows for weather control and tyre options.
Also maybe we could submit a day's results first, then day 2 results at a later date. It means we know whether we need to push, and also means you can see what position you are going to get at that current pace. This might be a bit harder for you to set up as you need to collate 2 sets of results, but its just an idea.

Suggestion 1-noted,will happen.
Suggestion 2- Would be great, but complicates submissions. Wish we could make it work, but I can't see how it could happen...

For suggestion 2, instead of submitting it twice perhaps you could post them for day 1 first, then day 2 just to 'build the excitement'!
Just something so we dont get the whole result just like that. Its an idea so any counter-idea would be good.
Best of luck organising it next year!

Guys-watch the forum for a fun event to be announced early next week.
This will be followed by rules for the 2010 CMR2 WRC as well as a calendar for next year.
The first event of the 2010 season will be the Monte (mid January), but it will be a non points event

Will there be a S2000 cup within the WRC or does this just reduce the competiton? Maybe an IRC merger deal? ;)

I'm thinking S2000 will be skinned on CMR2 WRC cars, thus making them essentially equal for the championship.
If there is a desire for a separate S2000 cup I'll gladly offer it :D

Your idea is a good one. If a Fiesta S2000 is ever made I'd like to jump into one, but if that means I'm slower than the competition its not worth it. Skinning to make them equally is good in my eyes.

Can we have permanent numbers like in the RBR championship? Just so I can get a car modded up for me! Thanks
