Are all of these stages from the RBRSR09 add on?

Are all of these stages from the RBRSR09 add on?
Only SS7 is from addon pack for the RSRBR or if you meant that all the stages are from the RSRBR mod, then the answer is yes.

Francis44
26th October 2009, 11:47
BTB stages may take some people away since some of them lag hard on some computers.

Bruce D
26th October 2009, 11:50
Yeah, if you get the RSRBR09 and all the addons then you don't need anything else. All cars and stages will be from that mod.

Nice entry for a fun event so far, lets hope everyone can make it this time.

Francis, maybe you can team up with Raybak when the Season 2 events start? He is looking for a teammate.

So 2 distinct class battles happening here. WRC will be the usual suspects while LCD has decided to set foot on "my turf" and playing with a S2000 car, on the same event where I'm debuting my run in the 207 as well.

I find that the pribram stage seems rather twitchy in the car. It seems like it hasn't been modelled very well.

Have noticed some physics flaws In Pribram stages too...
Handling on Lyon-Gerland and RSI-Slalom PLP feels great though!

Meanwhile, look what I noticed, while testing Pribram 1-superstage! :D

Great find!!

It could be from uneveness of the stage. Have you tried more locked rear diffs (like 20% or 30% more than the front) and softer damper settings? Generally if rear diff is more locked than the front then the car won't be so twitchy. Just a thought...

...Have you tried more locked rear diffs (like 20% or 30% more than the front) and softer damper settings?...

I couldn't say I'm good messing up with set ups... :D
But I must find a way make the car more comfortable to
drive over Pribram surfaces though...

Bruce D
29th October 2009, 08:18
The secret to Pribram is to just try more carefully. Drive around the problem, its not the phyics, the stage is just very bumpy. Part of the "Mickey Mouse" factor.

And LCD, you can't change the diffs on the S2000 cars - well at least you couldn't in the RBR Czech versions and thats what its like in real life.

I finished the Mickey Mouse event, and I have to admit I didn't
expect to enjoy It so much, though It caused me many problems!

The Pribram stages gave me the scariest moments and some spectacular
crashes; close encounters with trees, fances, barrells and everything else was there! :D
In Pribram R, I got lost In the narrow village roads and lost some time untill I found my way again!

Overall, It was a great event, not so 'fun' though, as the difficulty level was very high!

Stages I enjoyed most:
Slalom PLP, San Marcial, Canyon, Portugal sss
Stages I'd like to forget:
All the Pribrams! :D

Hey....

I just finished the rally and i must say i had much fun....The first day went pretty fine, no mistakes at all, cruised through Pribram as safe has i could, day 2 was also good apart from Pribram R where i had an off which cost me some time, didn't damaged the car thou. Day 3 was a safe drive, still pushed in Canyon.

I've finished the rally and it proved to be tough one. I started well with my best time on SS1. As the new stages started I started to drive too carefully, I wasn't 100% confident with the notes. On SS3 I drove as fast I could but probably I was too slow. I changed car setup a little after the stage and my feeling with car improved. On SS6 I overshot last K left to the finish line and on SS10 I made 360 in the first corner.
Overall it was interesting event. I know I've could have been faster but I don't have the confidents to go fast on these narrow roads yet. It was quite interesting to drive with slick tire on gravel. Also I didn't want to wreck the car on my first outing with it. I've uploaded some pics for those who want to watch them and I will upload some videos as well when I get the time.

..About the gravel section In Pribram;that guy designed the track should be a little disturbed or what? :D
Yeah, the gravel part was very tough one. Minimal grip and those bumpy roads, I drove very very slowly there, maybe max about 100 Km/h on the straights :D . If I tried to brake the wheels would lock up, so I feather footed over the gravel. I even thought I'd go with gravel tires for the stage but chose tarmac tires because I thought I will lose time on the asphalt.

I'll work on results throughout today - so far I've got for Francis44, NeverKnow, MacD and myself. Still waiting for LCD and Raybak.

Ps. My rally was a complete disaster. Crashed in places I have never crashed in my life, even after recce runs. Apparently the haybales can destroy your car.

I know, I was too. I think I only had 2 clean stages of the 5 I managed to get through, but I wasn't in a very good frame of mind last week, so hopefully I can do better this time.

Bruce D
2nd November 2009, 11:23
Well, of the people I've got so far, it was clear domination by someone (or is that "kept it on the island more"). Looking at individual results, its not so dominant but certainly more consistent than ohers. The amazing one was the Slalom stage, where 0.45sec covered the whole field through there! And I'm bummed about that cos in practice (and during an online rally) I'd managed a 1:18 through there. If I'd done that this time I'd have easily won the stage.

Very nice rally! Welldone Francis for 1st place. ;)
Didn't expect to win ss7 (San Marcial) though I
had a bad moment In the last hairpin before finish!
Guess who's behind my back for just 0.4: NeverKnow! :D
(Loved those battles In season1 m8!)
I am very pleased with the performance of Peugeot S2000 too!
I'm looking forward to season 2...

Congratulations to Francis for well deserved 1st place!
Very surprising results. I didn't expect to finish that high up the leaderboard as I was afraid to push on some stages.
I was also surprised how fast the 207's were compared to the WR cars on the asphalt. And LCD, I think the battles aren't over yet so prepare yourself. :D
I'm guessing next season anyone can win the rallies as the gaps weren't very large on the previous rallies and stage times are more even.
I also like the result book comparing splits to splits, it is nice to see where I've lost time.

I tell you, the more I look at the results of these fun events the more I think we're in for a cracking season. On paper you have potential overall winners in NeverKnow, Macd, Francis44, Hoofhearted and LCD. And you never know who else can stick their nose in the fight at any stage. I predict the championship will go down to the final round.

@ NeverKnow - the S2000 cars only really lose out on torque out of hairpins and top speed. With the WRC cars you don't really need the clutch to get out of the hairpins, but with the S2000 cars you are doing this whole Walter Rohrl-style dance across the pedals (well those of us with G25's anyway!) just to get the clutch out of the hairpins.

Oh and the thing I found most impressive about Francis44's performance was the fact that he did the entire rally in one go, not split up in different times like others. Thats concentration.

On tarmac you don't really need so much torque as you need on loose surface. On those events it is normal that sometimes a 2WD car can be faster than a 4WD rally car. But still impressed with 207's speed.
I don't know about others but I'm using clutch even in the hairpins sometimes. I depends how slow the hairpin is. For example on the Pribram stages I need to use clutch the speed is so slow if I don't use it engine will stall. Maybe it's something to do with my hairpin technic, don't know. I usually arrive at a hairpin hard on the brakes and when a pull the handbrake I start to use the throttle but it works with my style. Though I'm using two pedal wheel so I've assigned clutch on a button making getting out of ditches quite tiresome. I wish I had 3 pedal setup but for some reason they are only few on the market and those which are on the expensive side.

Oh thanks everyone, i didn't really expected to win....

I guess the key to this victory was being a bit carefull in some stages, some of other contesters are faster than I but perhaps they risked too much and eventually crashed.

Im very happy and congratulations to all drivers :) .

If I remember correctly you can change the release speed of the clutch in RBR if you are using a button setup, but that would of course change your startline procedure slightly.

3 Pedals is great and its nice to feed the clutch in on the S2000 starts but it can become quite busy when you need both the clutch and braking at the same time, like at a hairpin.

My hairpin style is a little different and might be the reason why I won the stage on the hillclimb rally that had all the hairpins. Anyway, I tend to go gently into the hairpin, not using too much brakes as that unbalances the car - the car has to be balanced when you turn in and use the handbrake at the same time cos otherwise you don't have much control over the exit. I'm on the power while still on the handbrake. Its a little tricky with WRC cars but works very well on S2000 cars.
