Finnish rally championship 2010:

No Waltikka-Rally next year. There were plans about replacing it with a new event but competitors said no because of the current economical situation.

Rallys are made of 2 legs and are much longer (usualy cca 170 km the shortest, 260 km the longest). Also stages are generaly longer. Championship is run under international sporting regulations.

For Rallysprint championship You don't need international license if You drive a car under 2000 ccm. Championship is for Czech license owners only (priority drivers have to register, others are counted automaticaly). Events are much shorter (cca 70-80 km) and are held in one day of competition. Championship uses national regulations (cars with expired homologation, A8, WRC, A7 Kit Car etc. allowed).

Strange situation. Studded tires are not allowed in Poland, but the snow events were present. Finally two years ago someone din't allow another exception :(

Gravel not starting at Palma del Rio ?
No. Palma del Río and Pozoblanco are both in Córdoba, Andalucía, so they alternate each year. 2007 and 2009 championship raced in Palma del Río, and 2008 one, in Pozoblanco. If there isn't any financial problem, that should be the first event of the season ;)

There is no Spanish second league, but several regional championships ;)

Gravel championship is mostly unknown (Although dates are in previous page), but it seems it will begin in Huelva in March, and a double meeting will be set in Pozoblanco, in May.

July meeting is held at the same time as Baja España-Aragón, and in Summer, there isn't so many places to race because of fire dangers, so that meeting must be there, or in the Canary Islands (Strange, because Lanzarote usually has a double meeting, due to high costs).

It seems logic for the Alsace vosges. The WRC Rallye of France should take a lot of interesst to the partners, and maybe a lot have quited Alsace Vosges to WRC :/ But this is cool for the Coeur de France, who is a wonderful rally !

Last weekend here in Greece, we had the 3rd round of the Greek National Gravel Rally Cup.
It was a Rally Sprint. 1ss (16.4 kms) x 3 times, total 49,2 kms.

I am so happy that through the economic crisis, we managed to do the event and leave all competitors with the best memories. We are a small club, Motorsports Club of Halkidiki, and it was our 1st ever event!

The rally centre was the resort of Porto Carras, most people know it for being the headquarters of ELPA Rally when that took place in Halkidiki.
With our small resources we managed to offer 2 nights for free at Porto Carras for every crew.
Also it was my first attempt in organising a rally sprint and I have to say it is a very interesting side of rallying.

24 cars entered the rally, and along our 1st international entry, Stratieva/Milanova with Citroen C2, who managed to finish the rally with tarmac suspension and tarmac tyres with cuts!!!! :)

Greek multichampion Aris Vovos won the rallysprint with his Evo9.
Hope next year we have more entries and we believe to attract even more international entries maybe as test for Elpa and Acropolis? :)
(Janne Tuohino with his Fiesta S2000 used our ss for 2 day test around a month ago)
