deP...... intent on staying on the bike and looking good for the female fans (and there are a lot of us out there).

.

If Hayden did well, he would not have finished nearly 40 seconds behind his teammate.

Rod Richardson
25th October 2009, 20:36
Ok...........I'll put it this way........Hayden didn't do as badly as the riders who finished behind him who are usually ahead of him. You surely don't expect him to be up there with Stoner with a clear visor in the wet conditions!

If Hayden did well, he would not have finished nearly 40 seconds behind his teammate.

a) Anyone who can get a GP9 into 6th and is not named 'Stoner' has done well;

b) 'His teammate' is Stoner, unfair comparison :p

Brilliant rides from Stoner and Rossi! Congratulations to The Doctor on another title.

Valencia - Stoner for the win, Lorenzo to DNF; Stoner to take second in the championship.

Poor 'old' Bradley Smith. Did everything he could to turn the tables on Julito at Sepang and still came up short. I bet he's learned a lot in the past 2 races and if they're head-to-head again at Valencia, I reckon Bradley will crack it for a win.

Hiroshi, you beauty! What a dominant display. The first half of the 250 race was the best race I have seen this year. Simoncelli rode a-la Valentino Rossi at Laguna 08. He was clearly outpaced but did all in his power to keep Aoyama behind him. Nice for Hector to get a tied decision come out in his favour this time and I was glad he got the nod because it helps Aoyama so much more. And Jules Cluzel. I was soo disappointed for him. He really reminds me of Stoner on the LCR Honda trying to get his machinery to run with the leaders when it just isn't capable of running their pace. Really nice ride by the disappointing Thomas Luthi and I was hoping Ratthapark Wilarot could sneak a top 5.

Stoner was amazing is the rain, I am in awe. Pedrosa was rightfully pretty chuffed with his second placing. He's improved enormously on his wet racing. Rossi, well what can you say about such a legend? His 7th premier class title had to be won with a podium finish, it wouldn't be right otherwise. Huge props to Jorge for his 4th place. His mind must've been a mess after the dramas before the race of his bike not starting and then the stuff-up that saw him in the pits too late and having to start from last on the grid. Then to graciously make his way to parc ferme and congratulate Vale was class. Nicky Hayden rode a solid race. The highlight of Hayden for me was his screen decal that read "Stay back and don't touch me!". :laugh: At least he hasn't lost his sense of humour. Hopefully Chris the V can emulate his Sepang 6th at Valencia and go out of MotoGP on a decent note.

The forecast is for scattered thunderstorms throughout the day.

Thunderstorm!! The sky opened after the 250cc race and a great light show!! :p

The day had been cooler than Friday or Saturday which was good as I got a touch of heat stroke Saturday, didn't think I was going to make it to the track Sunday!! But being the "little" :eek: trooper I am....LOL
Over 61,000 were there for the race and boy you could tell after when trying to leave, you think The Island is bad... its a walk in the park!! Cars/ buses/ scooters and bikes and who the heck cares which lane or direction you should be going, just go!! LOL..
Had a great time again.. Thursady went to the Go Kart track near the main circuit and watched some of the riders karting, it was great hardly any security telling you that you can't do this or that. Got to talk to all the riders who were there and take lots of pictures..Pedrosa, Smith, De Anglesis, Melandri, Criville, Mamola, Simon, Redding, Baustista, De Rosa, Webb, can't think of the others!!
