Kimi said he got some gasoline in his eyes and they are still hurting. Maybe the ice helped to cool the flames down :)

Here too: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/79594

The accident caused a big fire right in front of Raikkonen's car and got fuel into the Finn's eye.

Raikkonen recovered to sixth position, but reckoned a top three finish was possible.

"What happened on the first lap ruined my race," said Raikkonen. "First I was hit at the first corner, then when trying to pass Webber, I was hit and lost the front wing.

"At the pitstop, I ended up with some drops of petrol in my eye, from the fuel line stuck on Kovalainen's car and then I was engulfed in flames and blinded: I was going to stop, but luckily the flames soon went out.

"Even now, my eyes are still burning, but I'm alright. After the restart, I could only try and use the strategy to move up the order and at least I brought home a few points.

And this is the man who lacks motivation according to some. I'm sure there are drivers in the current field that would have stopped because their eyes hurt a bit.

For sure. I think that people who think Raikkonen isn't trying his hardest just don't understand Finnish temprament. Personally I think he's a racing driver in the truest sense of the term.

That's sure.

PS: Was Kimi's visor open while he was traveling behind Heiki in the pit lane?

Kimi didn't even bitch.

For some reason Kimi reminds me of Cash's song: Boy Named Sue.

Remember Canada last year when Hamilton went into the back of him? If it was me I would've bitch-slapped Hamilton.

Surprised he never did this:

Looks like the fire has been ignited by Kimi's front brakes.

Let's not make an elephant out of a mosquito.

If a tiger/lion/cat etc is not afraid to jump through a ring of fire than why should a driver be afraid of driving through a patch of ignited fuel vapors, inside a cockpit and fully clothed with fire proof materials, not to mention he was driving 80kmh and the whole scary moment was over before he even decided ho to react, as he was still breaking after the fire was meter behind him.

I don't say he isn't brave, but I remember an open wheel series driver stopping to extract an accident fellow driver from a burning car that went on to explode a few moments after.

Congrats to Kimi for continuing, but so did several F1 drivers in recent years who's cars caught fire during pit stops.

If Kimi had stopped the battle for the third place in manufactures would have been over. Now there is still chance to take third place. My opinion is that Kimi should have come to pit stop also without Webber accident, his left rear wheel was emptying because of Sutil crash in first corner (did someone else saw this).
