WOW!
i sure can believe Martin crew they ain't trying to cheat that whole 5 team just seems like they are having fun this season

but that whole 48 team i wouldn' trust them to sit the right way on a toilet seat with Knaus who always cheats, why not Johnson cheats his way to 3-titles

Why was this even brought up publicly? Sometimes I think NASCAR just likes to stir the pot to get some attention their way. I just assume, every race, the teams are pushing their cars right up to the limit on COT specifications. The 45 and the 5 passed tech, end of story. All this does is put some negative questions out there about the Hendrick teams and if they're cheating to get ahead. But no cheating has been found, end of discussion IMO.

my only guess would be cuz it's 1st and 2nd in the points
i'm sure if it was 2 guys outside of the chase it would never make news none talks about kyle busch much anymore and he's out of the chase, but thats my guess

chad knaus has always been knowin to cheat every year

It had me going for a few minutes (being a Montoya Fan)
But what is the use of anouncing to the NASCAR world that a team almost cheated

If you guys thought about what was said, and when it was said, it might clue you into what happened. First off, this sort of conversation goes on between NASCAR and the teams all the time. They will tell teams when they are getting close to being out of tolerances for mounting points or bodies or whatever. The cars of the 48 and 5 were taken for a further test at the NASCAR test facility after Dover. The 48 because it won, and the 5 because NASCAR can take any car at random and usually try to take another that finishes in the top 5. They DID NOT cheat, the cars were legal. However, because the cars were taken, the rumour mill was obviously running rampant around Charlotte, and NASCAR decided to issue their statement that the cars were legal, but close to the line. They didn't say what was to be done, or that anything was to be done. It was a statement to Hendrick motorsports that those cars were as far into the legal zone as they could go on bodies. THAT's it.

CHad didn't cheat...Alan didn't cheat. Both cars were legal. Case closed.

Now I know people just HATE Chad Knaus, but if you were to start a NASCAR Cup team from scratch and pay through the nose for ANYONE in the garage, you would have to be a village idiot to take any current crew chief other than Chad. The man is the best, but occasionally he has gone too far looking for that edge. Nothing that no crew chief worth a damn in NASCAR ever did in the past. Just with this new car, NASCAR isn't going to tolerate it no more.....
