Motorsport.com news writers are NOT supported by actually photography indicating the unique features of EACH track -- especially Monza!

How hard can it be with DSLR cameras to open the zoom, shoot a larger view of unique corners or overpassed, and get photos approved by motorsport.com management?

DSLR and caption software has existed, for a years, that could move motorsport.com photos from "great!" to "award winning".

Congratulations on making the same mistake many others before you have made.

Daniel is merely saying that this forum is shared by many motorsport sites so this feedback forum is only for the forum not specifically for motorsport.com although I'm sure they will read it!

But to get through directly to motorsport.com management, email is your best bet.

Welcome to the forums! I hope you stick around to discuss :)

OK, I have done that.

So, I understand, now, that it is management that has decided to NOT post offered photos of each track's uniqueness, because the track is NOT a huge part of racing? not invested in a huge way with racing, buying tickets to their track? exclusive Bernie&Max rights prevent selling of the track value.

Currently working with a Canon 5DmkII full frame DSLR which can shoot 6-700 incredible color clarity image in a few hours and excitement not seen in the "same shot" of the "same racecar" on the "same corner". Sadly, I can afford to shoot weddings or wildlife trail macros, NOT F1 tracks.

ALMS and MotoGP are much more exciting, even standing still regardless of photos that show track elevation overview.

I read BBC, Formula1, Autosport and look for much better photos from Motorsport.com -- which is great for the novelty of first couple races but not good enough for grand old Monza -- where photos could feel almost like being at the track, for the millions who cannot afford to be at any track, especially when there is zero marketing of track tickets.

Please get that my post WAS pointed at ALL motorsport sites, hoping that motorsport.com might listen where other corporate suits will never get it.

I quite agree with you actually but you're in the complete wrong place.

Sadly these days a lot of people take very anonymous shots which could be anywhere or shots which don't actually convey any sense of action or motion and in that way motorsport photography has actually become very poor since digital took over and any person who could afford a camera and some good glass was in. When people were shooting hundreds of photos in a weekend and having to pay for it if you weren't good you simply didn't get so many mediocre photographers. If you look at the WRC forum we have some fantastic amateur photographers and then we have quite a few people who struggle to take a decent photo and specialise in taking photos devoid of any action, charm, scenery or movement and this annoys me because a lot of people don't seem to know any better and think this is fantastic stuff.

But this is motorsportforums.com and whilst the forum is sponsored/hosted by motorsport.com they don't read the forums and have no day to day involvement so your sentiments sadly won't get through to anyone at motorsport.com

You might be best off looking here -> http://motorsport.com/etc/about.asp for contact details :)

Again, Daniel, I got it, before venting what I saw as motorsport.com's chance to sell their product -- with a last hope that motosport.com web sales-editor would get it -- would actually scan "customer-sponsor" opinion forums.

If what you say is true than the suits have won............
