View Full Version : WSBK Nurburgring

3rd September 2009, 11:52
Ruben Xaus and Max Neukirchner are still recovering from their injuries and will be watching from the sidelines. Karl Muggeridge to ride in place of Max and superstock rider Richard Cooper riding in place of Ruben. Nori Haga should be back to full fitness and looking for a double win at Nurburgring, but so is Ben Spies.
Seems like forever since the last superbike round, I can't wait!

Going on saturdaymorning, back on sundayevening are the plans. Never been at the Nurburgring with bike races, hope it's going to be good!

Have a great time. Weather forecast looks to be a bit cool and maybe a few raindrops.

Was very surprised but also very, very happy to see Cooper is getting chance on the world stage. Hopefully he can bring it home for two solid points finishes :D

Wet and blustery conditions for FP1 therefore results don't mean much. Showers predicted Saturday and dry but cool conditions expected on race day.

What a kickarse lap from Haga to take pole. He is BACK!

Good to see Haga back of form, hope he can translate the qualifying result into the coherent race. Provided the bike and everything is in good order, Hopkins is supposed to race from somewhere place better. He might need to search for more correct pitch, likewise Aprilia to find the more proper set up for this race.

The championship will mean a lot more to Nori-chan at this stage in his career than it does to Spies.

I hope he can deliver the goods in the remaining rounds.

Shame about Haga... Lost it in the middle of turn one with Rea, and everyone passed. Just walked away... :s

But the future is in good hands, with that set to between Rea and Spies. No quarter taken, none given. Great racing. :D

18 point gap with Ben in the lead. On to Italy. :)

At the time I thought Rea's pass that took Haga out was borderline 'questionable' but as the commentary team said at the time - racing incident. The question is whether Rea would have made the corner if Haga had not been there, and he would have, so they were just both trying to ride the same piece of racetrack at once. And it's happened to Spies often enough this season... in race 2 Greene and Martin were talking up Haslam and Rea for the win, you can never do that when Spies is still circulating  but to his credit Rea kept it together and won with the fastest lap of the race on his last lap - impressive!

Crutchlow is just on another planet at the moment. The Aussie contingent had their strongest collective results to date this year.

Okay: here they come

For 111 euros we had 3 days of camping, paddock, food and drinks on the circuit and grandstand place.. That's VERY cheap I would say!

All the great motorsport names are on the wall when you enter the circuit
