So when is the next McRae Rally game coming out?
Dirt only has a little bit of Rallying in it - and as for the drivers/riders..they may be Big stars in US, but over here?

Pino, you've mis-understood me, I was being sarcastic. Dirt isn't a Rally game - I was wanting to know when a 'proper' McRae Rally game is coming out.
Have you been on the Codemasters forum - most people seem impressed by it - and the people who just want 'Rally' are called small-minded?

Yes I've missunderstood you, so I am afraid we have to wait a lot to have a new proper CMR rally :( And yes I visit Codemasters forum everyday since 2003 but I've stopped to post due to restrictions by the Mods about free meaning on Codemasters games policy and direction  Anyway I am sure as soon this game comes out many (rallyfans) will be disappointed again...

Then at most try the demo, but don't buy the game. The only way these damn developers are going to learn what people want is if we vote with our pockets.
Mind you, they'll then take it as "nobody is interested in rallying" and scrap all of it.
Then again, cricket is about the only thing Codemasters get right, certainly no racing / rally games, so maybe they shouldn't have the rights anyway. I saw their screenshots of the F1 game the other day and thought "since when did F1 look like that?" There's another flop coming but thats another discussion.
What we really need for a rally game is something like Live For Speed - independants who come in and do the job properly.

DiRT2 Isn't for hardcore or traditional rally fans... :(
It will be more proper for people fond of various kinds of motorsports;
...Dirt only has a little bit of Rallying in it...
The rally part In DiRT2 will be even shorter, containing countries like China (!)
Morocco (!) , Baja-USA (!) and Malaysia (!) Croatia will be the only European
country featuring! Each track won't be longer than 6km...
The only thing that might make some people happy, Is physics/gameplay
that everyone's saying It's been dramatically Improoved!

They should drop the Colin McRae name from it.
Call it Ken Block's/Dave Mirra's/Travis Pastrana's Dirt.....

I agree! This was their biggest mistake!
That's why there was a ''war'' going on In their forums for months...

Fulton said: “At the end of the game, when the player has competed in world tours, when he has won the X Games of America, we think the fitting finale to the game is what we're calling the McRae Memorial Challenge.
“This is a special one-off three stage rally in which the player will compete against Colin's own family, Jimmy and Alister McRae, and a host of as yet unannounced motor sports superstars. We'll be revealing a list of their names closer to our release date.”
So the game is not a tribute to Colin then

Same here, I now expect a ban as I was warned to not to criticise their work

I already got banned from Codemasters Forums for my views on the direction they have taken their Rally and touring car series.
Seen their Facebook page?
Its full of praise for the game, which is fine. But when a soul posts something to counter the way they have taken the game, that soul gets slammed.

Whats the point in having a forum when only positive views are allowed?
If some one went on there f'ing and blinding about the game or gave stupid views then fair enough ban them, but surely constructive criticism should be allowed?

I got my first warning when said that Ken Block probably costed cheaper than S.Loeb,
so they chose him to be the man behind the game...
I said It with a sense of humor though... :D

I'm probably going to be banned from there now, after what I posted in the thread called has Dirt 2 been ruined. :D

The thing that annoys/amuses me is the American fans on the forum take it as a personal insult if you don't like the game. It is not a Rally game.
