Anyone know why Aon were down to only 1 car at Snet?

They're probably struggling to get another driver with a budget, given how uncompetitive the car is.

I don't know if AON have shareholders but if I was one I would be asking a few questions about a few things.

::Cough cough::

They may have made their minds up already?

Good, they can sponsor United too.

While Toms still there, his dads name will still be on the side

Seconded - he does after all hold a £59m stake in the Benfield Aon group!

Apparently there was still only time to design and manufacture one set of the new engine parts, bodywork and rear suspension components.

So once more component manufacture is complete perhaps we'll see the second car out again.

According to Motorsport News, Morrison will be back at Knockhill.

True but it does the Aon brand no use to be at the back of the field at most races. If the results don't come then it gets hard to justify the expense even as a marketing exercise!

so how come Morrison did not make it at Knockhill?

Morrison was at Knockhill... unfortunately his car wasn't!

the car does seem to be getting more competitive though

It did look a bit better, didn't it, though given that top speed isn't a great consideration at Knockhill maybe it wasn't too surprising.

saying that Plato nailed that last race (and arguably the first) partly on account of the Chevvy's top speed.

agreed though a good handling car would be preferable to just top speed on most occasions at Knockhill.

ah right ok then, guessing he had mechanical failure on the car or something?

the car is improving and it sounded blinking good but it is nowhere near the front runners yet to be barely in front of martin johnson either shows how good the old astra is or how poor the focus is

the whole thing looks like a total Chilton ego stunt, not bringing in a team mate that can develop the car or be faster than Tom and the fact taht Chilton snr must be gutted, he must have believed that the focus would have been on the pace out of the box and how good his boy is. fact is the car is average and chilton is certainly an average driver, it is the same with Max in F3, chucks megabucks at it and Max has been there for 3 years and not made any progress, had it not been for Chilton snr's chequebook both lads would have struggled to get beyond club racing

phew that was a rant lol
