Turn 3, former crew during the mid 90s?

No, I wish sort of. I grew up in Northern Indiana and went to Purdue. Most of those places were within a weekend traveling distance when I was in college. Miami was during spring break a couple of different years (YES!). I've since moved to Arizona and have hit all the West Coast races I could make. Long Beach is a ritual now although I've boycotted when GF jerked PT around and didn't give him a ride for it until last minute last year.

Never got to Australia like I wanted...no its too late!

Almost wanting to see Danica race (at that point she wasn't ridiculous yet).[/*:m:2zylpkey]

Watkins Glen (several F1, F5000, CART (Yes, CART), and the first NASCAR in disbelief)
Pocono (USAC?) and NASCAR x2
Indy (500 x4 and 1 F1)
Nazareth (Several times)
Mid Ohio (forever during CART, over 15 times?)
Cleveland x6
Portland once
Montreal F1 once
Detroit F1 Practice once

A real interesting weekend was the one we drove to Nazareth for the postponed CART race on Saturday and overnight drove the 650 miles to Indy to see Chip and JPM win the 500 on Sunday. Over 1300 miles of driving to see 720 miles of racing. There will be plenty of time for sleep when we die.

Dover for the IRL crashfest.

A TON more if you add in CANAM/F5000, NASCAR, IMSA, SCCA, ALMS and Grand AM. I can't count if you add in Sprint cars and flat track motorcycle tracks I've been to crewing for my friend.

I saw god knows how many Toronto races, one on Belle Isle, and did Indy Lights when they had a one off race at Trois Rivieres. What did me in was in my timing and scoring days, I was always busy at Mosport or Shannonville, and now that I am not doing that, My job kinda keeps me from ANY racing.

that of course is just CART/CCWS. I have also been to St. Petes old Street course around the Trop Field, a Daytona Rolex, Watkins Glen for NASCAR/TransAM. Seen tons of race tracks when nothing is happening tho..you get that in big time trucking!

-My first memory of indy was the qualifications in 1981. Cars were somewhat diverse still. I didn't get to attend the race until 1992.
-1987 was my first race in phoenix. Guerrero had this sweet Orange car and came from the very back to win.
-1991 michigan international. Tracy's first race with Penske - I think he made one lap and broke his leg in an accident in T4. Mears won.
-1992 Indy. Cold, in the 50's. Tires wouldn't stick. Guerrero spins on pace lap. Al jr. wins in a Galmer - barely.
-1993 to last year. Most indy 500's, not all.
-1998 Road America. So many cars and engine combos (sigh). Micheal was leading at the end and went off. Franchitti's first win.
-2003 St Petersburg. Pretty sweet place to have a race. PT wins.

Long Beach 4
Fontana 2
Laguna Seca 3
Riverside 2
Portland 1

Biggest regret is that I didn't make a Road America race.

Champcar-

Long Beach 2
San Jose 1
Fontana 1
Portland 1
Denver 1
Montreal 1
Toronto 1

Formula 1-

Watkins Glen in 79
Cesar's Palace in 82
Long Beach in 79 and 81

Nascar-

Riverside 2

Petite Le Mans 3
Long Beach 1

I'd also add that I went to dirt track races at the now closed Manzanita Raceway in Phoenix,AZ more times than I can begin to count.

An addendum to my previous post: My wife and I attended the "Northeast" CART race every year at whatever track it was held (Meadowlands, New Hampshire, Nazareth) beginning in the late 1980s. The racing at New Hampshire was first rate, and so were the ones at Nazareth... until they reduced the downforce and made it a parade. Ugh.

We were planning a trip to Mont Tremblant to introduce our then 7-year-old daughter to the vestiges of AOWR when the CCWS finally gave up the ghost.

And no, we never attended an IRL event.
