It will be interesting what conditions are placed on the signing, and whether the contract is for one or more years. Mark appears to have recuperated from his horrific injuries early this year, and his pace at Silverstone and now Germany is certainly impressive.

I knew that he had leg injuries but until I read the article on Monday, I didn't know how serious they were; nor did I know that he also broke his shoulder. I suspect he must have been driving under severe pain for most of his races this year.

Well he laid one on em this weekend I will tell you. A drive through and still kicked Vettel. Very impressive. I would want to retain him as well. I don't care how good the car is you still have to drive it and drive he did. Sign him up cuz if you don't someone will.

Absolutely. If I was the boss of Red Bull my dream driver line up if I had unlimited funds would be the very drivers I have now!

Yup, two fast drivers, one with lots of experience, that also seem to get along. What more would any team want?

A money tree orchard?

A money tree orchard?

Red Bull already has that as well. I just wish more people would cleanup or recyle the empty cans.

Well DUH! Two race winners in the same team. Only Ferrari, McLaren and Brawn can claim the same.

I echo FirstGear's comments.

The AFL grand Final? I dunno, he is from NSW and was a ballboy for Canberra... dunno if he would care about AFL... It would be an interesting question to ask him though.

Back on topic, Red BUll would be crazy not to resign the lad, the way he is racing is unbelieveable!

Webber has something that Vettel still has to learn and earn - how to race wheel to wheel and have other drivers confident to run with him.

I think that Vettel must have been somewhat shellshocked last weekend - webber won pole and the race in dominant fashion. And in Britain if not being held up, Webber was on the way to pole.

Is it conceivable that Webber is only now beginning to be totally comfortable with the car and his injuries?

We could see the second part of the season unexpectedly where Webber outqualifies and outraces Vettel.

Well I bet a guy on this forum a Hamburger before the last race that
Webber would outscore Fettel this season, so I hope you’re right :)

First of all I've already got one dumbass bet against Bunsen that I made
before the season started that I'm going to lose smarta$$
Second: I would never make a sig bet of a duration of more than a month on any proposition.
Third: It's bad luck for you to bet against Ozrevheads dream result.
I have a good mind to tell her that your trying to ruin her season! :arrows:

It certainly sounds like "That bet" is referring to this:

My bet is with Webber So "Care to run that bet against bunsen?"
is an invitation to take Webber over Bunsen.
At least on this side of the equator :mark: :p :

OK!! Here's the bet: bunsen wins over mark and we both have bunsen burns brightest.

Mark wins over bunsen and we both have Mark shows bunsen how it's done

And if anyone else wants to join this bet, they are welcome.

I humbly decline! If Mark batters Bunsen, and vanquishes Vettel,
I already have a sig in mind, and I would prefer it to be unique.
Thanks for the offer though! :)

Not sure why they want webber, when here is a far better candidate who may be available and who will vastly increase those red bull sales. clearly far more qualified than him. Check out a few and you will have to agree, that webber nor bunsen just won't cut it compared to this champion....I will put my money on this champion anyday
