A great way to celebrate our 4th of July. But
the real fireworks were at the Corning 100
at Watkins Glen with JR Hildebrand taking his
3rd Indy Lights win (his 2nd in 2009). JR
has battled with 2nd-place finisher James
Davison after being passed on lap 14. JR
held on a charging Davison. Felipe Guiamares
finished 3rd in his debut with Bryan Herta
motorsports. Hats off to Charlie Kimball
for his best finish in 4th. JR had also
big breaks at from beginning to end with
the huge title contenders. Mario Romancini
suffered a mechanical problem. Wade Cunningham
crashed out with 4 laps to go. But the big
break came with his teamate Sebastian Saavedra
blocking Kimball at the end before being passed.

It resulted a huge penalty that stripped him
from his 5th place finish dropping him to
18th.

Hildebrand now has a 58 point lead over
Saavedra as the Indy Lights series head to
Toronto for the 1st time.

Maybe this is the time for Windsor and Anderson to
evaluate JR for a shot with USF1!!!!
