Yes, he'll drive Mitsubishi :) . I think, nothing's hapeend with this Fabia from A- Style

Just read in a Greek forum about an entry that was not expected in the entrylist.

18 year old Georgian Giorgi Kodua will do the rally with Evo7 prepared from Greek Team GART Racing. He will also do the other 2 international events of the country, Hebros and Sliven, I think!

Really hope Basso scores well: FIAT should get the ERC title, they deserve something.

Raven
8th July 2009, 07:37
HaCo, they don't deserve. They produced first real s2000 car and after few years they are the worst factory s2000 team. Fiat/Abarth definitely overslept it.

And in sport nobody deserves something. They should earn it with hard work :)

HaCo
8th July 2009, 17:10
Yeah, maybe you're right. Would be pitty if we would loose the manufacture because of lack of results. It's not they are not developing, but obiously not in the right direction :(

Jarek Z
8th July 2009, 21:37
Well, maybe FIAT doesn't deserve the ERC title, but for sure such driver as Giandomenico Basso deserves a good car! So I hope they will do something to be competitive again...

17th July 2009, 11:03
What problem did you have with them?

PLuto
17th July 2009, 14:49
We were transporting racing car inside the trailer behind van. They wanted us to go through "truck gate". We were waiting there for six hours, they werent satisfied with documents and wanted to pay them about 700 euro into their pocket...

Ramore
17th July 2009, 16:10
That's quite common actually. I was passing this border a year ago with a van (sprinter), which is definitely not a truck. Besides that I had no goods in it, it was completely empty. After a couple of hours waiting, they told me the same crap about a missing document. I guess I was lucky I can understand and speak a bit their language. At the end they took me about 50 euros.

Anyway, good luck with the rally and have a nice time in Bulgaria.

Did you like this livery Daniel?

I think that Basso's car livery in Bulgaria is much better than factory Fiats ever had!

At least he is leading the rally, maybe it's the livery's that make the Abarths slow in other rally's ;)

Yes, I've seen that point scoring but I keep my doubts because If I'm not wrong to be aproved any rally must complete a number limit of Km (%) of stages, or not??

RIP :(

As usual, the bad news popped up everywhere in Italy, even televisions...

They hardly give a f**k on normal races (instead soccer takes 99% of the time), and only when there is a mortal accident they talk about rallies. Screw them all !

Hello Everyone!

It has been a while since I've posted on this forum, but I have definitely continued to track European rallies on it.

That's a huge tragedy for Lavio-Guglielmini . . . My condolences go out to the family of Mr. Guglielmini. Godspeed.

Not important . . . but does anybody know what happened?

Take Care,
Szymon

Just came home from the rally.

Everybody was shocked with the news. Let this be the final one!
My deepest condolences to Flavio's family, friends, and Bryan... R.I.P Flavio

p.s: The first 18 kms of SS7 (actually where the accident happen) is the worst and most dangerous tarmac special stage I have ever seen in my life! You just cannot describe that road as tarmac!!!

Yeah, if the accident happens when the spectators are in wrong place, then they reconsider, but those accidents just happen.

20th July 2009, 12:10
the organisers have nothing to do with accidents involving drivers/codrivers...once you are out of the road its a matter of luck unfortunatelly......

Its always a tragedy when something like that happens....it isn;t the first time and it won;t be the last unfortunatelly...R.I.P and hope the people close to him remember the good times they had together...

You must finish 50% of the rally. So, overall results are official with full points, bonus points are only for first leg.

I am afraid FIA wont reconsider it. To be in WRC isnt important quality, but quantity of money. For example Rajd Polski was in last two years the worst ERC event...
