The Belgian Kris Princen will drive a Clio R3 in 2007. He has already tested the car a few days ago and was happy about this new Clio.

No, there will also be the new Honda Civic Type R. They are preparing it in Italy.

As for the Clio R3 Polish driver Bartlomiej Boruta wants to buys such car, too:

(but he is nowhere near Princen wen it comes to speed ;) )

Ok, thank you. And one more question - in which class will be the new Clio - own new class R3 or A7, Sp 1600 , N3 ?

I suppose it'll be A7... ;)

I suppose A7 too. In France , the Citroën C2 R2 are in A6.

Thomas Barral (winner of the 2006 clio cup) will drive one in french championship.

There are no R3 or any other R class cars yet as the rules are not finalized and will not be until 2008.

What will R3 mean? Will it replace N3 or will it just be a new class to mix with all the others? Will there not be a new Clio for the N3 class? Or Civic?

After 2008, R classes will replace A and N classes.
A/5 and N/1 will become R/1
A/6 and N/2 will become R/2
A/7 and N/3 will become R/3
And we will still have S1600, S2000, and WRC!
From what I understand Gr.R will be something better from Gr. N and something less than Gr.A!

Manuel Rueda could drive in JWRC with a clio R3...

So basically the plan is to scrap the N-A classes and replace them with R classes....that will make the sport more expensive in my view....A clio R3 or a C2R2 maybe a great car but definately cannot be afforded by someone who had and maintained a N2/N3 rally car.....

Are these new classes confirmed, and it is clear that this is the way forward ?

And as we have seen at the Torrié Rally in Portugal, the 206 RC running between the hands of Garcia-Ojada is also an R3 homologated car... :D

What has happened to the big launch of the new R classes FIA made ?

Was it not in 08 that these should come in big time ?

Any national or FIA championships for any of the R Classes in 08 ?
