View Full Version : Macau's Team Asia in Korea GT Masters

Good news for Macau motorsport!

Before starting of new season of Macau touring car championship, our 4 local drivers had been in high level adventure in foreign country. Macanese based new squad "Team Asia" joined the 1st round of 2009 Korea GT Masters in Taebaek circuit with a couple of former Japan GT Nissan 350Z.
Due the unexperienced of our pilots in: GT races, the new circuit and among of professional drivers. They had been a lot of difficulties with their "fairladies" then just can't be better than last 2 at qualify in GT class. But with the goal of challenging, learning and to make a good image for Macau(the project is sponsored and supported by gov.), they tried to do the best, after all only 1 could finish at 4th place in the class with 4 cars finished, another 1 was retired due the collision.

I think this is a good start to developing more Macau GT drivers, not just only Andre Couto in Super GT.
Hope for better results in further rounds, of course, if Gov. have been paid for this.
