Well..............into the second half of the season we go. Fabrizio with the bit between his teeth, Spies on fire, Hopkins back in the saddle this weekend and Haga seemingly focused on winning the championship and just playing it safe rather than risking a trip into the weeds.

29 88 Resch R. (AUT) Suzuki GSX-R 1000 K9 1'40.489
Fabrizio has indeed come of age, consistently up the front these days. Spies is still the man to beat, second fastest and only working on race setup. Haga a bit off the pace in 8th but will improve. The top 19 are covered by 1 second! The top 5 are all separate manufacturers and gleefully (for me) Broc Parkes is 5th on his Kwak. I hope this is genuine race speed. Jonathon Rea continues to improve and impress and beware the injured Yukio. Nakkers has started stronger than Biaggi, it would be nice to see him the lead Aprilia rider for a change.

Once again Crutchlow and Lascorz lead the way. Eugene Laverty has been joined in the series by his brother Michael, who replaces Russell Holland who has moved on to greener pastures. Barry Veneman returns with Pitt's 08 bikes and was 17th whilst Garry McCoy struggles in 20th. I'm expecting another cracking race.

Dutch rider Danny de Boer didn't compete in FIM Cup 1000 anymore. The reason is a lack of money. There are 40 riders this weekend in this class. :)
In WSS Arie Vos has new parts on his Honda, but it seems it will be another difficult weekend for him.

A few unexpected events there. Smrz and Pirro with pole positions, Fujiwara ahead of Lascorz and West and Byrne perhaps back in form. Still expecting the racing to be the usual suspects but it should be close.

Rain in Misano. What a big crash in the start of the Superstock 1000 race. Domenico Colucci stalled in the start and Pere Tutusaus hit him very hard in the back. Leader and poleman Xavier Siméon crashed and the race will have a restart after the WSS this afternoon.

Race 2 was something else. I wonder how Spies would have raced without those problems early on. Still in all, it was fantastic racing at the front. I'm very impressed with Johnny Rea, it was great to have an Irishman at the front! :D The Xerox Ducatis were great too. Fabrizio just never gave up and Haga raced solidly at a circuit he doesn't like. All good

I'm having one of those days where I've been watching the races all day, it's half midnight and so I should go to bed, but those WSB races were ace today. The first one was crazy, and the second one was arguably the most exciting race of any class this year (yes! Even after last week, although we've had many crackers all year). Was rooting for Jonathan and there was a lot of shouting in the room - a bit like the Supersport where me and my mum have Eugene and Cal respectively on our Fantasy League teams!

Finally saw WSS and race 2 tonight, bloody hell, those were two ball tearers of the highest order!
Congrats to Rea on a well-deserved win after having qualified so well, but boy that Fabrizio is going to be hard to beat as the season progresses.
What happened to Hopper, did he pull out after practise?

What happened to Hopper, did he pull out after practise?
He said he had too much pain and couldn't do race with the injuries.
