Have a look:

It would be considered poor taste if they (Phoenix racing) backed out after this story..

Besides, you never say no to a lady :D

Just to put that right. Liz is with Team Modena - not Phoenix.
They are 'evaluating the American Sportscar Scene' so, who knows, maybe they'll do the last couple of rounds too. :)

I'm wondering if the FIA GT's Phoenix is the same Phoenix that races in DTM?

Yes, they are one & the same - they ran Abt & Kaffer last year I think?

No problem!
There are lots of DBR9 teams around.... just a shame there is a distinct absence of the full on factory team. :dozey:

DR said at Autosport Int'l that their whole philosophy is to support other teams, not run one or two cars on their own. I think this way is not bad, more cars. :)

I wasn't aware that he had said that, but it sort of confirms what I thought may happen.
My only worry with that is that they have accepted their invitations to do Le Mans.... where are they going to get match practice?

Are they going to just go into Le Mans having only carried out testing? Or will they turn up at some FIA events to give the cars and drivers some race experience?

Didn't Bentley race only at Sebring and Le Mans in 2003?

The biggest question about the drivers is though... who? They lost all the drivers they had after 2006, maybe only Turner can turn up(now how's that for a pun? :p ) for the 24 hours. Maybe Piccini and Ortelli can also return? I hope though that Oreca comes back and Ortelli would most probably be with them.

Corvette Racing says that if a car last 12 hours at Sebring, it will last 24 hours anywhere else :D

If that happens, it should be a good thing because that could lead to a long run commitment in GT racing for Aston:

Yes I think Aston would be involved in both F1 and GT1 if that happens.
