Help with adding cars to colin mcrae pc

I'm trying to add cars in to Colin Mcrae rally 2.0 PC, and I was wondering how do you go about adding other cars into the game. I have a rar file full of them, but it's not letting me extract the cars into the "car" file of the game.. What am I doing wrong? lol Any help is very appreciated.

You should have a full installation on PC, no CD required. Then you should find the folder Cars in CMR2/Game folder. Unpack rar file anywhere and then copy car files that you like into the Cars folder. There should be done some settings in the game graphics options as well. Car details set on High and Shadow map turned off.

So you done all the graphics setting and files copying and cars are still old? Be aware that you can't see new cars in menu. This is not visible until the start of stage (servis zone).
