Before I join, I still have to figure out how do it without clutch on keyboard, I tried turning off and driving manual on realistic but somehow the game still let me do it without much problem. Maybe I'll just leave it at that.

What about driving on three wheels, and will there be any super rally? Also what if I run over a spectator or marshal? How many gearbox and engine can I use in a season?

Try to race based on rules tmx...I know It's a bit hard, but nobody said It's gonna be easy...! :D
REMEMBER: In case of retiring, there's no super rally, but go straight to RBR Rally Sprint (DAY3)!
As for how many engines you can use during season, there are no restrictions!
Tip: There's no fear of retirement, when hiting a spectator, because damage Is set on reduced!

Driver: NeverKnow

PRE RALLY

Before the start of the 1st round of the newly announced RBR Motorsport Cup we caught up with driver whose alias is NeverKnow for a quick Q&A.

Q: What are your feelings before the start of the rally?
A: Little nervous actually. I haven't driven in competition quiet a long time but I hope everything turns out alright.

Q: What happened during the shakedown?
A: Nothing! Because I wasn't able to drive it.

Q: Why?
A: My car is quiet old and had a major rebuild at Prodrive but because there was little mishap with scheduling, last parts were flown in on thursday and were installed immediately for the scrutineering.

Q: Does missing shakedown affect your driving in any way?
A: Definitely! But I hope prerally testing was enough setup the car OK'sh for this rally.

Q: Any predictions?
A: Yes. I will have a off atleast once and I will come atleast last.

Q: Is there anything you would like to say?
A: I hope everybody will have a good rally, including me.

POST RALLY
Now that NeverKnow has finished all the stages we asked him some questions.

Q: How did the rally go?
A: It went OK'sh.

Q: Care to elaborate?
A: I made too many small mistakes but I am happy because I finished.

Q: Could you go through stage analysis for us?
A. Yes, for sure.
1st stage I drove quiet well but I struggled with power of '02 Subaru in uphill parts of the rally. Car is good but it lacks little power compared to modern rallycars.
2nd stage went also well but I wasn't happy about my cars top speed.
3rd stage I nearly overshot a junction and during the downhill I really struggled for traction. The surface has very good traction in wet but once you start to slide it can turn ugly pretty fast.
So on 4th stage I once again wasn't happy with top speed and had a little scare at the last corner.
5th stage was the only nearly perfect stage for me in the entire rally I took quiet a few flying lessons with the car on it. After the stage I examined the car during the road section for any damage but luckily for me there were none. Good job Prodrive!
6th stage was the worst stage for me. I had few offs due to bad judgement for the corners entry point and few near offs. I lost atleast 10 seconds because of those.
At the final stage I pushed as hell to get a very good time. I went very wide through some corners but the car was good enough pull us back into the right direction.

Q: What will you do now?
A: I will wait for my competitors time and after that I will have meeting with the sponsors. I will also work (with my codriver) with my pacenotes to get a little more speed out of my car in the future.

Q: Thank you for the interview!
A: Your welcome!

I thought It would be Interesting, while waiting for results, to share
competitors comments, for the first event of RBR Motorsport Forums Cup!
I'll make a start...

U.S.A. Rally, really gave me hard times, with wet stages, especially ss3!
Grip was unpredictable and my xsara was scrabbling to find any grip
as It swung between heavy braking and hard acceleration!
It was a relief finishing Day 1, without unpleasant surprises!

Day 2 was a lot better, so I decided to step on the throttle a bit more!
Rally Sprint was fun too, though I didn't push too much!

The rules maybe made the rally more frustrating than expected
but I think people who take RBR a little more seriously, had fun!
I personally loved the whole experience of this first event!

Hope you feel the same! ;)

Bruce D
1st June 2009, 06:26
I turned out to be a very tricky event indeed. Ironically I wasn't looking forward to pushing hard over the fast stages with blind crests and bad pacenotes but it was the tight stuff that caught me out in the end! Stage 1 was ok, but I spun near the end of the stage, somehow missing trees and reversed back onto the stage.

The wet stage 2 was tricky but ok, just a case of getting the car to stop in time, which wasn't fun IMO. Anyway, onto the fateful stage 3, where things were going fairly smoothly over the first few Kms until diving back into the forest again, where a medium left caught me out and the car just understeered into a tree - end of rally.

The rallysprint went much better - the original plan was to just take it easy and get a time, but the car felt great from the start of the stage and having the shadow of Burns chasing me, I decided to just let rip - one or two close moments later and the stage was done.

On to Round 2...

So first rally finished...not so good ;)

Q:So UrabusDeno, tell us about the rally?
Urabus-denoS2000: Well the rally was a combination of lot's of bad factors. From the beggining I knew I didn't have much chance.First of all I drove the USA stages the least. You could say that they were a complete mystery to me.Second of all I like to call myself a tarmac expert.Third,I had (and still have) a lot of important things to do like exams so I had no time to practice the stages (I only did Fraizer Wells 2 times just to try to drive without the clutch help).
So from the beginning I tried to set a constant pace. But the rally didn't go to well.I lost my brakes at the end of SS1,spun on SS2 and then came SS3 when I called for help 4 times and broke the gearbox which led to a retirement.
I drove the Rally Sprint at a moderate pace,no problems.
Q:What do you think about the championship?
Urabus:I think it's very good because it allows PS2 drivers to try competiton they never could before.Of course there is the cheating problem but I hope nobody cheated because they would cheat on themselves.
I must say it was pretty hard without the 3D pacenotes. The Croatian pacenotes are very stupid and even worse, very quiet. They have a very weird pace system so it required maximum concentration. So the pacenotes were the biggest change for me.
Q:Thanks for your time!
Urabus:Thank you for the publicity space ;) !

First round of the RBR cup proved to be a rather big learning curve for Mitsi Ralliart team from NZ.

Things started well in the opening stage untill a minor spin near the end of the stage cost a little time, but no damage, onto stage 2 and a clean run staying out of trouble, then came stage 3......... the wet roads proving very tricky, went off on a down hill section into a medium left, crashing the car badly enough to jam the thing in third gear. Had 2kms to go in third gear and managed to go off a couple more times but finished the day.

Day 2 went a wee bit better, did have a roll over, but didnt loose to much time. Pleased to get to the end of the rally.

Rallysprint was cool, had a big go but turned to custard with a big crash near the end, resulting in a loss of brakes ,a bit of a shame, was going well i think.

Thank to Mitsubishi Ralliart NZ for a strong car. ;)
