Hi All

Well it's that time of year again when we require officials to assist us in the running of the 3rd Round of the ACT Rally Series.

The event details are as follows

Name: Appliance Installation Stages
Date: 23rd May 09

The event will comprise of 14 stages in the canberra forests . We have brought back 'the Mineshaft'. Not once, but twice over the renowned drop. With stage names of Greenhills/Bluetts/Mineshaft/Murrays/Tidbinbilla/Pierces and Bannister (which is the longest stage joining Mineshaft and Tidbinbilla together) there is bound to be plenty of action.

The organisers are expecting that many people who normally officiate may be competing or servicing at this event. So we need you to spread the word that we need approximately 60 volunteers. All stages are repeated but if you can only help in the am, or pm let us know as well.

Some Stage Commanders have key people that they call on as part of their team, and contact them seperately. Please let us know if you fall into this category and let us know which stage team you are with.

The First Competitive Car is due to start at Weston Club at 0930 hours and the last car is due to finish back at the Weston Club at 2004 hours.

If you are able to assist please send a return email advising the following details:

Contact number
Contact email
Prefered Stage (if you have one)
Preferred role
The details of any friends you will be bringing along

The roles available are;
Road closure/Start Control/Stop Control/Time Control/Spectator Marshal/Service Park Assistant

Looking forward to your offers of assistance!

We have a strong field headed by Neal Bates in his S2000 Toyota Corolla. First time for an S2000 to run at club level in Australia.

The event has been run, Michael Barrett won in his EVO 6 Lancer from Mark Sessions in an EVO 3 and John Stilling in an EVO 9.

Neal Bates only did the first 2 stages with his son Harry codriving and then went spectating.

Was a great event with not much carnage.

Andrew had an off in the Charade as 000
