A season had an unexpected turn for Nashville
native Josef Newgarden. But in the end: he
manages to score his 1st points in round 2 with
his maiden 3rd-place podium and keeps himself
in the title hunt with a win in the 3rd round
at the season opener in Oulton Park.
His debut race was a nightmare where Josef had
a bad start from the grid before colliding
with Josh Hill and Fabio Gamberini. James Cole
won the 1st 2 races before Newgarden prevented
Cole's trifecta. After 3 races, Newgarden is
currently in 6th trailing by 35 points behind
Cole.
