Brookes did not have the correct paperwork and was put on a plane straight back to Australia. Steve Plater will ride for HM Plant Honda at Brands

Gee, what a stuff up! "The laws have changed" - surely there could be a grace period or dispensation for people genuinely unaware. Or perhaps Brookesy and/or his manager just should have known better?

A lot of English people on facebook have sent emails off to their Government about this!!
There were alot of them ready to watch him race and they aren't happy...
Its good to see Josh has a lot of "vocal" fans out there....

When I think how many benefit cheats and phoney asylum seekers our government let enter the UK, I find it astonishing that they send home a sportsman trying to compete in the UK

Go Joshifumi! What a cracking championship. Pretty unlucky for Plater (even though he knew the score) to have to miss out after a stellar fill-in performance.
In free practice 2 Josh Brookes finished 19th with a best time of 1:39.062
In free practice 1 he finished 24th with a best time of 1:41.754
